Bottle. Hazy red coloured with a light pink head. Sweet aroma dominated by raspberries. The flavour is dominated by raspberries with notes of hops and light acidic notes. Hoppy finish. The raspberries are very dominating. but still quite good.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of sliffy. Pours a slightly hazy, warm, reddish with a small, pinkish head. Very distinct and intense raspberry aromas. Quite full-bodied with distinctly sweet raspberry accents - unfortunately a little chemical and soapy in the finish with also some acidity. No hop presence though. Too much of a good thing really. 280907

Bottle. [Courtesy of Myrup / Papsoe, quality tasting @ Papsoe] Small frothy white head that mostly diminished. Good display of lacework. Hazy reddish color. Wow this is like fruity acid drops with heavy notes of sourish mix of fruit. Grapefruit, citrus, pineapple. But also notes of cherry / fresh berries / raspberries with some underlying malty notes as well. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated acidic and sweet flavor that was well balanced. No evidence of alcohol I thought, with again the fruity acidic drops as the finishing touch. Very lovely fruit beer! 28-09-2007

Bottle. A red beer with a pink head. The aroma is strong of sweet raspberries, so is the taste, no traces of alcohol, impressive. Medium to full body with a long sweet candy like finish.

Bottled. An unclear dark red beer with a thin pinkish head. The aroma is sweet with notes of red berries, while the flavor is sweet yet with an acidic edge from the raspberries.

Pours almost a dark golden ale color. Kind of Rubaus with more fruit. Similar carbonation but can not taste the increase in alcohol. A bit surpy.

Very nice fruit. Reminds me a lot of the Rubaeus. Lots and lots of good raspberry flavor. Could hardly taste alcohol in it. Very well hidden in the fruit. A summer sipper for sure.

Gorgeous color scheme: very deep crimson and violet in a swirling hazy cloud. A thin off-white and pink tinted head recedes fully and quickly, but just reveals more beautiful coloration. The aroma is loaded with fresh raspberry juice without any offensive medicinal notes. Loads of fruity and lightly spicy yeast follows. Alcohol is marvelously masked, evident yet restrained. Yogurt loaded with lightly soured lactic acid floods the senses and further conceals alcohol. Each nosing concludes with mellow milk chocolate and tropical fruit scents. Shiraz styled jammy notes cloak some acidity. The flavor is monstrously sweet and very jammy, as expected from a more caressing and tricky nose. Acidity must technically be off the charts to be so noticeable in the finish; this thing is freaking sweet, not cloying but damn close. The yeast profile is more forward. Light to mild tartness is refreshing and seems just the right amount, any more would seem too much like a candy element. No hops or bitterness noted. The finish is lightly tart, highly sweet, long and strong, very heavy warming late. The mouthfeel is full, extremely sticky and lightly carbonated. Very good but too sweet for a lengthy session or too tall a glass, a definite sipper and brew to be shared. Founders never ceases to surprise.
