Pours a dark red with a thin pink head. Aroma is a lot of sweet raspberry. Ton of sweet raspberries in the flavor, some malt. I thought it hid the 12.3% pretty well. I will get this again, good stuff.

Appearance: Pours a dark, rubyish body with a foamy, fizzy, off-white head with a touch of pink to it. Smell: Raspberries, baby! A rich, juicy, perfumy, somewhat sweet-smelling aroma of fresh fruit. When it comes to raspberries, Founders doesn’t screw around. Taste: Ahh, juicy, sweet raspberry nectar with a light tartness. Slight cherry character as well. Faint touch of booze. Profound concentrated fruit flavor from beginning to end. Warming, drying, slightly spicy finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Excellent! An impressive, sumptuous brew that delivers tons of great flavors and a punchy alcohol percentage, yet it remains very, very drinkable. It’s no Dogfish Head Fort (thankfully). Love me some Blushing Monk!

[Bottle] shared by skyview. Pours a deep red with a pinkish head. Aroma is LOADED with raspberries with maybe a touch of wheat malt. Flavor is tart and sweet raspberries without a whole lot else.

(22oz bottle) Crystal clear pink-red body topped by medium off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, berry (raspberry, blueberry, and light blackberry), syrup. Taste is sweet, but the raspberry has the attendant astringency that is absent from the aroma. Some alcohol presence hints at the ABV. Medium-full body, low carbonation.

22oz bottle. Color of razzberry juice. Ruby red and juicy. Aroma of fresh pressed razzberries. Flavor is nothing but tart juicy fruit. Lots of alcohol which is all very hidden. Beer drinkers and non drinkers would definately mistake this for juice. could be the best fruit beer I’ve tasted. Its just too easy to enjoy!

From a brown 22oz bottle - Pours a dark reddish/brown – very pretty. Smells of tarty raspberries. Below average carbonation. First sip is tart and bitter with the raspberries leading the way. Other fruits could include cherries, pears and grapes. Super fruity not too sour. VERY NICE. The 12.3% is well hidden.

22oz from drewbeerme - thanks, dude! A dark, slightly luminous red pour with very little head or carbonation. Rich razz notes in the nose, not surprisingly, but not overpowering or excessively artificial. Imperial Rubaeus? Whatever it is, it hits the mark in some sense but falls short in others. Hits the mark in being a balanced flavorful brew that builds strength on the other Founders beers in this vein. Falls short insofar as there’s a thin, cola-like quality to the brew, and the somewhat excessive alk makes for a bit of a clash. Certainly easy drinking (perhaps too much so) and nice balanced flavors (mild acidity), but nothing to write home about.
