Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Pours pitch black with a mostly receding tan head. Notes of dark chocolates, coffee, oats, and sweet roast. Taste is silky chocolate, vinous malts, roast, and a bit of hop resins with a warming alcohol finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation. A nice beer, but quite intense.

black with small bits of floating sediment under a huge whipped brown head. aroma of dark and milk chocolate, coffee, maple, cola. flavor is more bitter than expected. i always figured this beer would be sweet. chocolate and bitter raw coffee bean is rounded out with a floral hoppy finish. medium bodied...even a little light. not as impressed as the rest.

Amazing beer! Pours black with tan head. Huge coffee nose and taste yields lots more rich coffee flavours, dark chocolate, nice bitter finish. Easy drinking Imperial, it went down fast. It went great with some dark chocolate. Thanks Dan for this one!

12oz bottle thanks to corby112. Pours a rich dark brown, almost black. Nose is massive coffee and oatmeal. Fantastic smelling beer. Rich thick body but a little watery on the backend. Big chocolate up front. Full oaty, grainy middle with a slightly watery huge roast coffee finish. Awesome beer and it really is a breakfast stout. I actually found this more drinkable than the Mikkeller (BGB).

Bottle pours black with a tannish head. Big coffee aroma with a bit of sourness too. Sweetbody with a good amount of coffee but not overbearing. Slight slickness in the mouthfeel. Burnt sugar and coffee bitterness at the end. Nice beer and easy drinking.

Bottle->snifter: pours a small, diminishing, dark brown head that exhibits good lacing atop a ruby body. Aroma of caramel and coffee. The body is light, texture creamy, showing no carbonation and having a bitter finish. The flavor’s duration is average, lightly sweet, acidic, and bitter, with some sour milk characteristics. A truly fine beer.
