Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

A nice one from Founders, my wife loved it and she even asked for more ♂. A stout that enlarge your veneration for Coffea arabica.

With many thanks to DuctTape for gifting me this for my 30th birthday. Note: I’m having this at breakfast time. Appearance: Oil slick black with a rim of brown. Creamy brown head . Aroma: Delicious - coffee, chocolate, smoke, peat, some Christmas pudding notes, cream and vanilla. Flavour: Coffee, cinnamon, smoke, dark chocolate, peat, warming. Lots of creaminess in the mouth feel with a delicious cream and vanilla finish. Everything an Imp stout should be for me. Lovely.

12 ounce bottle that I have had sitting around for a few months. I was extremely excited about this one... I love Founders and I love big Imperial Stouts. This pours a jet black color with a very tiny tan head that arises after the pour. I also noticed that it was fairly thick coming out of the bottle. The aroma is a stout and coffee lovers dream. It consists of a LOT of freshly ground coffee, some nice roasted malt, some faint oatmeal and some subtle cocoa. The taste is also exceptional. It has a ton of coffee and roasted malt with some bitter chocolate and oatmeal. Leaves you wanting more after every drink. It has a medium to heavy mouth feel and is a bit sticky. This is an excellent imperial stout by Founders! This really gets me excited to have my Kentucky Breakfast...

Wow, one of my all time favorites. Pours deep dark brown. The greatness of this beer starts with the aroma of roasted malt, cofee, choclate, smoke. Taste starts with strong roasted malts, cofee, chocolate, bitterness all in balance and harmony. The flavors remain through the middle and ends with a nice dry bitterness. The taste lingers and prompts me to take the next sip. Drink it close to room temp 60 to 65 degrees to get all the flavors. Serving type: bottle

Jet black with a small dark-brown head that sticks around a little. The aroma is pretty much all coffee with touches of sweet malt and a daaaash of chocolate. The flavor is way upfront coffee with dark chocolate notes garnished with the delicious sweet and sour malty notes we all know to be a high-gravity stout! The luscious creamy mouthfeel is just the icing on the... oatmeal!

Most amazing smelling beer ever- coffee and oatmeal. Makes me hungry. Unfortunately, the flavor does not catch up to the aroma. Bottle thanks to either JW77, Daknole, or Ryan.

Pours a pitch black color with a nice, foamy tan colored head that shows nice retention and leaving sheets of lace around the glass. The aroma is very chocolaty along with notes of roasted coffee, oatmeal, and cream. The flavor follows suit with roasted chocolate and coffee up front making this one very rich. Sweet mocha and cream sweeten things up and smooth out the roast. Full bodied mouthfeel that is silky smooth from the oatmeal. This is a really nice imperial stout.
