odie (2), Michigan, USA does not count Mar 10, 2009 This is probably one of the best beers you could ever hope to enjoy, hints of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and whatever other incredible flavors Founders decided to add. This is the best beer (in my opinion) they have to offer. ajwilliams (118), , Indiana, USA Mar 9, 2009 Pours a deep black with a dark tan head. great lacing. Huge nose of coffee and dark chocolate. Thick body and feel, silky smooth. Bigtime flavor with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, hops, alcohol, and oatmeal. This is a serious stout, and having it for breakfast would make lunchtime into bedtime. Bravo. DalzAle (474), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA Mar 9, 2009 Bottle. Pour was dark black with a little brown head. Aroma was rich, smoky and a little chocolaty. Flavor was that full bodied coffee, vanilla, smooth malts and a little spicy on the finish. A very good imperial coffee stout, but I’m not sure if I agree that it should be rated as high as it currently is Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Mar 9, 2009 12oz bottle courtesy of styles. Good chocolate and oatmeal aromas. Black body with tan head. Had a good creamy chcoclate flavor with some oatmeal in the mix. Smooth enjoyable stout on the palate. Thanks Chris. downender (2528), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Mar 9, 2009 Bottle. Almost black in colour, with a tight tan head. Massive black coffee aroma with a touch of bitter chocolate in the background. Flavour was also dominated by espresso coffee, with some charred malts, more chocolate and and a bitter, warming finish. A great stout for those who enjoy coffee. Tweety (336), Vancouver, Washington, USA Mar 8, 2009 Inky black, beautiful pour. So much coffee on the nose and on the finish, that just lingers forever. I have a lot of this socked away and will have to continue revisiting it to see how it ages. ansermadide (496), Kyle, Texas, USA Mar 8, 2009 I’ve been waiting to drink this for a few months now... we finally popped the caps at the February 27, 2009 club meeting. Has a solid black color with a light brown head, aroma of coffee and syrup. I see why they call this a breakfast stout. Light mouthfeel, but full on the palate. Reminds me of something... anyway, excellent beer! Jblauvs (530), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Mar 6, 2009 black pour, nice, cool, intense coffee aromas, bit of oats, baking chocolate. Roastification to the maximum. I love how intense the coffee is without being overbearing. very special. very drinkable
