Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Love the label! Strong coffee on the nose. Black as night with more carbonation than I’m used to in a stout. Good mouthfeel with a big coffee taste with a little chocolate. I thought this would be really syrupy and sweet, but it’s not. Strong flavor, but still easily drinkable for a stout. Excellent!

Poured from bottle into Nonic Imperial Pint. Jet black with thin tan head that leaves slight spotty lacing. Aroma of espresso beans, dark chocolate, vanilla and licorice. Some noticeable alcohol. Not quite as coffee dominant as it smelled. Tastes like a fantastic mixture of coffee, chocolate and roasted malts, with light fruitiness and licorice detected. Unlike some coffee beers, I can actually taste the Stout underneath. Nice bitterness at the end, which seems to be due to hops as much as burnt, roasted malts. Liquid velvet. Very, very smooth rich full body with low carbonation. Slightly warming. Great sipping brew, but I have never been compelled to drink a lot of coffee beer at once. That said, this may be the most drinkable one I have had.

Bottle. Near black pour with one finger wide brown head. Roasty, dark chocolate aroma with coffee and sweet cream in the background. Roasted coffee is the dominant flavor with some cocoa, cedar and dark fruit. Finish is dry and extremely bitter. Lively carbonation with a medium body. A very subtle hint of alcohol warms your pipes as you get closer to the bottom of the glass. A great Fall/Winter sipper.

Good tan head some good carbonation very dark IMP,aroma strong coffee essence, aniseed and liccorice rich dark chocolate, mild oatmel, flavour strong bitter roasted tastes first up, liccorice, coffee very strong, oatmeal seems drowned out by bitterness, chocolate is mild compared with coffee, finish overdone with the bitter taste, drowns out the full flavours a real dissappointment to me,still good but for the bitter.

Pitch black pour with a nice persistent brown head. The aroma fills up your lungs with a strong alcohol/coffee/chocolate impression, in that order. The first sip explodes with complicated flavor. As the alcohol numbs your gums and tongue, the chocolate becomes apparent, and then the coffee. I’ve never tasted so much coffee or chocolate in a beer. It finishes bitter with a lasting presence. I had to wait about five minutes between sips it was so rich.

Bottle: Poured a black road tar color with a huge long lasting brown head. The aroma was spices, chocolate, and roasted coffee. The taste is rich coffee bean and dark chocolate.

draft, at the Exton PA, Drafting Room. Aroma of coffee and chocolate, strong coffee flavor with hints of bittersweet chocolate, smokey notes... a ton of flavor pulled together in this stout

(bottle) Pours black with a medium chocolate brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and alcohol. Flavor is dry and very bitter with roasted coffee and dark chocolate - there’s a bit of fruit in the end, too. Medium bodied and oily.
