Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Dear lord. Bottle poured into a frosted glass. Nose is coffee and chocolate. Tiny tan head that laces the glass wonderfully. The taste - the fucking TASTE! Its everywhere! Its coffee, its chocolate, its roasted, its bitter and its smooth. A nice milky texture on your palate. This is one to take slowly and admire every last drop. Jesus Christ...

completely lived up to my expectations of what one of the best stouts should be! chocolate aromas hidden behind a hoppy nose and an unbelievable creamy mouthfeel with excellent coffee and chocolate flavors. very smooth and full.

Wow beautiful deep pour with nice mocha head. Totally toasted coffee grounds and chocolate aromas make their way for a light raspberry fruitiness which was absolutly astouning. I had Attributed these aromas and flavors aas contamonant by outsiders who had also tasted this beer; but these were deemed irrelevant. Wow was a beer. Complex and evolving with immense character and expression. Great mouthfeel and entire palate experience. Very nice indeed which runs the gamut of flavor.

This beer is just one of the finest in the stout department. It has perfect color and thickness with a huge roasted coffee and dark chocolate aroma/flavor, all while being not too sweet, and not too bitter. Creamy and soft on the palate with a full body. The mouthfeel is unbelievably smooth. This stuff is phenomenal.

Coffee! Coffee! Coffee! Wonderful roasted malt aroma......and pitch black with a minute brown lacing. The flavor is an coffee shop unreal I am so lucky o be able to enjoy this as often as I do.....the finish is amazing as it leaves a vanilla, espresso and a extremely bitter chocolate bite. supurb.

Bottles courtesy of Bockeyhorsey and Sparky27. Deep black color with a nice creamy brown head that lasted and laced forever. Great aroma of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and roasted rich caramel..Flavor is wonderful as well. Coffee, chocolate, dark ripe fruit, vanilla and oats. Creamy and palate coating. This is a fantastic Impy Stout. Thanks Bill and Eric!

Bottle. Pours very black, with a creamy tan head. Aroma is coffee, oats, cream, and toffee. Flavor similar, with a burnt roasty bitter finish from the dark malts. Very smooth, tad bit of alcohol in finish. Excellent beer.

on tap at the flying saucer in Charlotte. puny light brown head into black body with good lacing. aromas of strong coffee, light coffee, and moderate vinous notes. flavor is initially moderate bittersweet into strong bitter. long, long, long finish duration. average carbonation. slighly chalky mouthfeel. awesome.
