12oz bottle. Pours black as night with a thin beige collar and some very nice lacing. Aromas of coffee, coffee, chocolate, roasted/burnt malts, and some more coffee. Flavor is a nice rich mouth full of coffee grounds, milk chocolate, lactose, and roasted coffee, and roasted malts. Smooth, silky and easy drinking! biznizness (934), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2008 12 ounce bottle split in pint glass. Black with lasting brown head and lace. Dark roasted coffee chocolate aroma. Very dark roasted coffee bitter chocolate with mild dark fruit some earth and smoke and mild bitterness with mild fruity oat tang. Medium (lighter than expected) body and medium carbo with nice soft mouth feel. Very complex, perhaps a little too much coffee. Not exactly to my tastes but still an excellent beer. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2008 Bottle: Pour was thick dark black with a deep and dark creamy tan head. Aroma was robust with roasted malt, coffee, and sweet malt. Mouth feel was very creamy and full bodied with strong but well blended coffee, chocoalte, sweet malt, and a great deal of complexity. I really enjoyed the light burnt and hints of bitter characters. This was a superb beer. Would buy again for sure. poolboy (66), Lafayette, Indiana, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 20, 2008 One of my all time favorites. I’ve had it in the bottle and on tap at the brewery. Loaded with roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and toffee. Maybe some creamy oats. Pours black. More drinkable than the imperials in my opinion. SHANER4 (371), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Nov 20, 2008 12 oz. bottle - Poured black as coffee with small tan head. Smelled like coffee and chocolate. Flavor brings a smile to my face, it has a light coffee taste along with a rich chocholate, its like eating a doughnut stuffed with chocolate. The best stout that I have had to date. I am happy to finally find this beer after looking for some time. djones (116), Michigan, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Poors black as oil. Head lasted a long time. Very drinkable imperial stout with very well hidden alcohol. Tastes just like eating a chocolate bar, with out the sweetness. Coffee and malty flavors were strong as well. Thick bodied, and creamy mouth feel. Very tasty. DWestrick (237), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA
