Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

(10.22.08) 12 oz. bottle: Black as can be, with a fine brown head. Great coffee aroma, but the taste is a little burnt. Bitter chocolate rounds out the flavor. Lingering finish. Gets a little rough by the end of the glass though.

Finally got to try this one--I’ve been looking forward to it for awhile. Poured an oily black with just the slightest remnants of a darker brown head. It smells deliciously of coffee and chocolate. It doesn’t feel too thick-bodied and the flavor is wonderous--an explosion of cappicino, coffee, and chocolate, wit an aftertaste that lingers. This is a very drinkable and delicious imperial stout and I would highly recommend this one. I’ll have to make sure I grab a 4-pack before they sell out for the season!

Black beer with a nearly as black, quickly vanishing head. Aroma is coffee and flaked oats. tastes like coffee finishes dry with a bit of a lingering tingle. very smooth and silky in the mouth. good beer though like pre season hockey not worth the price of admission ($16 for four 12oz)

12 oz. Opaque black with a small head that tries to last, and leaves some frosty lace. Aroma is pretty much pure coffee, maybe some oats. Flavor is coffee, turning to cocoa and oats, some light peanut and caramel. Yummy. Heavy body is smooth, sticky and dryish, with some light tingle.

This stuff is strong. A ton of everything it says. Coffee and chocolate and you know it. So rich and really good. A lot of alcohol comes through for me too.

Might I suggest this for breakfest. Outstanding beer, like having some great coffeee with a little alcohol in it. Very good beer!

Pours from 12 oz bottle almost completely black, forming beautiful off black foamy head. Aroma of chocolate delights, hops, malts, espresso coffee beans. Flavour much of the same, simple bliss and goodness, smoothness prevails in rich and sublime cleanness. Bitterness and hops give the beer a supreme character, kick ass!
