Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Pours an oily black with just a very thing tan film of a head. Of course the coffee comes on strong in the nose but beyond that I pick up some notes of molasses. This is definitely not one of those sweet imp. stouts. Bitter black coffee dominates with a bit of black patent malt like taste and a lingering chocolate finish. Solid and bitter to the end. Just not mind blowing.

12oz bottle. Pours pitch black with no head except for thin ring on edges of my snifter. Aroma is rich coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor is heavy with coffee. Also taste chocolate and roasted malt and touch of vanilla. Mouthfeel is smooth. Similar brew to Dieu du Ciel Péché Mortel and Speedway Stout. Not a huge fan of stouts with big coffee flavors but this is not overdone.

Taste 10/8 Looks: Opaque/black, thin clinging head. Aroma: Nice dark roast malt and coffee blend. Some chocolate in there as well. Taste: Thick and rich coffee with a little chocolate. Smooth, even and hides the alcohol well.

Courtesy of gillard. One amazing brew. Hard to put down. Pours black, with a nice brownish/yellowish head. Aroma is filled with nice coffee notes. Taste, your fill of coffee, light grains and malty. Not much else to say, this is just one amazing Imp. Stout. Very drinkable, loaded with coffee and a good presence f alcohol.

Bottled sample via and shared with oakbluff. Pitch black in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and a bit of booze. Flavor wise, it’s all coffee upfront before a mellow malt, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, oatmeal and herbal hop push from mid-sip to finish. Heavy bodied without being cloying or lifeless. Very nice.

12oz bottle. Amazing. Coffee snobs and beer snobs rejoice! Huge notes of coffee in the nose and on the tongue from this motor-oil-black brew. Delicious chocolate undertones with a medium-thin, smooth mouthfeel. Fantastic.

Black pour with thin tan head. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Full bodied, silky, very thick. Tastes like a cold, carbonated mocha with a touch of vanilla. Very sticky, aftertaste lingers. Amazing.
