Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Bottle pours jet black with mocha head. Dark roasted coffee aroma with hints of chocolate. Little vanilla sweetness then a rich mocha finish that lingers. Incredibly smooth.

Bottle. I’m new to this style, so my rating might be scewed. Pours pure black. Tastes of roasted malts and hints of chocolate with a hint of the coffee. Very easy to drink, very smooth and no hint of the alc.%. It still didn’t wow me though, but i’m a hop head going through an adjustment here to a new style.

Draft. Pours deep amber/black with a thick, biege head. Dense aroma of coffee, spice, chocolate, malt, and pepper. Heavy body with a bold, creamy finish. Great stout.

One of my favorite if not my favorite. I tried this right after a KBS and I have to say while amazing and a bit more complex I prefer this to KBS. The oatmeal comes through so much better and makes for a thinner more pleasing mouthfeel IMO. If I could get my hands on this easily, I’d be drinking it everyday.

Bottle courtesy of DA from Fever. Thanks! Pours jet black with a tan head. Smells of coffee, chocolate. Definite coffee. Tastes of coffee too. Doesn’t even taste like beer....tastes like iced coffee. Bitter, but a perfect balance of bitterness and subtle sweetness. One of the best I’ve had.

This is a battle between coffee and chocolate. But I like it. And at only 8.3% alcohol it doesn’t knock you down. A little carbonation helps balance the brew.
