Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

12 oz bottle from Joe Canals in Delran NJ. Smelled like freshly brewed dark roast coffee. Super dark, thick, and creamy. Could clearly taste the coffee, chocolates, and oats but beautifully blended. Excellent beer in all regards.

Poured from a bottle ྨ/05/09) a creamy mouth feel to start. This is a coffee drinkers beer. This beer shines with bitter chocolates and kickin roasted malts. My palate is left thinking it had just drank the freshest coffee from Hawaii. Founders . . . its what for breakfast!

pours black with thin tan head. Aroma is strong coffee, some bitter chocolate tones, as well as roasted malt and dark fruit. Flavour is excellent, smooth and creamy coffee and chocolate flavours giving way to a burnt malt bitterness towards the finish. Alc is blended perfectly. Excellent.

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep, rich, thick black color with a small but very brown-tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, sweet aroma abounds. Flavor is just fantastic, wonderful and fantastic. Chocolate, coffee, creamy, smooth, and very rich. Alcohol is all but hidden. Fantastic!

If you like coffee, this is it... Tons of coffee in the aroma and a good amount of chocolate too... Flavor is much the same, lots of coffee, not as much chocolate... a little bitterness from the coffe... Not bad, but I’m not big on coffee in my beer like this.

Pours thick, heavy and nearly black. Quick-disappearing head. Aromas of dry coffee, percolator coffee, scalded chocolate and sweet hay. Chewy coffee and chocolate flavors, and a thick, viscous palate. Dry and bitter, with a very well-roasted profile. Is it good beer? Yes. Is it an achievement? I’m not so sure.

Pours black with a tiny quickly disappearing brown head. Nose is fresh roast strong coffee, fresh coffee beans, booze, cocoa, roasty malt and sweetness. Flavor is a toasted oat, roasty caramel, rich bitter coffee, creamer, baking chocolate, hints of licorice. Very nice. Cannot believe this was the first time i have tried this.
