Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this brew on my wants list. Pours a dark, dark brown with slight red when held to the light. Creamy dark tan head that laced and sustained. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and toasty malts. Flavor of chocolate, cocoa, light coffee. This one was a bit aged and the flavors have seemed to mellowed out and blended a bit.

Thanks to John (JCW) for this! Bottle. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Nose is HUGE coffee, roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, and light spice. Taste has big coffee, definite oatmeal flavors, chocolate, light spices, and roasted malt. This reminds me of perhaps Cinnamon and Spice Oatmeal blended with a nice chocolate cake. There’s a nice sweetness balancing the bitterness. The overall feel of this is thick and oily with a nice smooth slickness. Very filling. Mild bitterness on the tongue. Finish seems more coffee than anything else. Also lots of cocoa and chocolate with light licorice and grains. Breakfast indeed!

Discount Liquors, Milwaukee, WI. - 12 oz bottle. Pours like a can of motor oil - thick, rich and black with just a thin, ,but long lasting off white head. Aroma of fresh roasted coffee and a touch of port. Flavor has good roasted bitter coffee notes with some bittersweet chocolate. Faint traces of licorice as well. Mouthfeel is creamy, coats your tongue and mouth. Excellent stout - worth saving for breakfast!

12 oz bottle. Poured opaque, thick, and oily. Black as night. Head was thick and light brown with good retention and lacing. Smelled of dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet on the tongue up front. Very thick stuff. Delicious with a strong coffee flavor accented by chocolate, vanilla, and burnt marshmallow. The sweetness eventually gives way to a rich lingering roasty bitterness. Mmmm good. If it’s this good from a bottle I can’t imagine the draft version.

Bottled. Dark color. Aroma of loads of coffee, malt, chocolat, hint of vegetable that reminded me of the plastic bags you put in the garbagebin. Coffee and oatmeal. Decent cold cup of coffee.

Regular strong stout aroma. Even sounds good in the pour. Black with lasting thin islands of foam. Like drinking a cloud. Maybe the perfect stout flavour. Beautiful smooth. A touch of fruit. Additional coffee and sweet chocolate.

12oz bottle coutesy of adrian910ss via trade. Damn this beer is good looking. It poured black as night with a big puffy head that as the bottle describes is aptly cinnamon in color. The aroma is amazingly coffee like with great smokey notes. The taste is really powerful and is probalby one of the most coffee like stouts I’ve ever had, and I’m not even a coffee drinker. It is really intense, and since I have to get up early tommorrow why not have breakfast now. Great work Founders you have yet to dissapoint me.

Bottled at Monks Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a rich creamy pale brown head. Rich bitter sweet coffe bean aroma with notes of Muscavado sugar, cinnamon, burnt caramel, caramelized sugar, mint and inky hops. Full-bodied with notes of roasted coffee, brown sugar, fudge, spices, mint add mild yet lingering citrousy hops. Long full finish packed of dark coffee and dark chocolate with undertones of fudge, grass and mint. Tasty stuff, wouldn’t drink it for breakfast, though...
