Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Tap at Boston Brookline Publick House. Black body topped by a long-lasting medium tan head. Roasted coffee beans, cacao, toasted bread, bitter black chocolate, floury choco-dessert. No fruity taste, floral hops or anything like that. Just pure “black stuff”. All the flavours you want from a stout, it’s all there with a slight focus on the roasted coffee beans taste with a dry floury cacao finish. This now sits on top of all the <insertprefix> Stout I ever had. I don’t know about the bottle (and to be honest I’m afraid to be disappointed) but the draught was simply perfect. The only thing wrong with it was its name, it’s some much more than that, it’s also a lunch stout, a dinner stout and a late night snack stout.

Aroma of roasted coffee, and lots, darkest brown, tiny cappuccino head. Flavour is full roast coffee, medium bodied, bitter, wonderful! This was especially nice to have from the mini-keg, Thanks to the generous Founders employees!

12-ounce. Thanks, BitBucket! Pours opaque black with towering blackish tan head. For the longest time, this beer just sits in the snifter, defying you to pour in any more, with thumbnail-size holes in the foam. Thick roasty and chocolatey nose. Medium body, very light carb. Rich forward roast and chocolate on the attack and through the mid-palate. Nice clean finish. Awesome!

12 oz bottle. Poured dirty muddy motor oil. With some effort a thin brown head was conjured up. Full strength aroma of dark roasted coffee beans, chocolate, some caramel and molasses. The sip has a nice rich thick mouth feel. There is lots of flavor in this beer with coffee, caramel, molasses, and more coffee. The taste ends with a bit of a building oatmeal flavor. Again, lots of flavor here. Tasty brew. No sense of the ABV either.

This brew really lives up to the hype, massive fresh ground coffee flavor and aroma, non of that burnt roastiness, just smooth and soft with a hint of chocolate. Pours a heavy black with a tall tan head.

Motor oil thickness; black with a tan head. Choco-coffee nose. Sweet malts, with dark chocolate, roast and toast. Only a mild bitterness (I wanted more). Dark-roast coffee was very sharp and nice. Chewy, wholesome stout just bursting with chocolaty, earthy malts.

Bottle. Thick black elixir with brown head and loads of thick lacing. Rich coffee and mocha aromas with Mayan chocolate accents. Creamy body. Oh man! Intense creamy coffee and cocoa throughout. I love this brew!
