Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

A dark pour resulted in a little oiliness around the edges, just a few light marks of suds. Subtle soft aroma of roasted barley and coffee. More of that roasty barley and coffee in the flavor with some added notes of chocolate. Balanced, drinkable, and seamingly well crafted, but how this beer stands out, so much so that it gets a 4.2 overall is beyond my comprehension.

12oz bottle. Pours midnight black with a big creamy deep tan head, great lacing. The nose first hits you with fresh coffee followed by cocoa dust. Flavor is very chocolaty a good amount of coffee and toasted malts to back things up. Finish is bittersweet chocolate and quite creamy. A little more coffee in this one than I was expecting, damn good overall.

via trade with OhioDad - Pours black with a faint tan head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is big time coffee and some chocolate. The flavor is mostly coffee with some residual sweetness. Hop bitterness really comes through. A medium to full bodied beer. A very good beer. Thanks Scott.

Black pour, thin tan head. Aroma of coffee, oats, and a hint of vanilla. Flavor has a bit of a fruity sweetness at first with an intense coffee flavor. Deliciously thick, I might follow the lable’s lead and go get a spoon.

Big thanks to demitriustown for the 2 bottles of this. Been waiting a while to try this one.
Pours a thick, dark black, oily color with a nice sized robust brown head in a snifter. Smell is almost exclusively coffee, and wet coffee grounds. Not getting any oat or sweetness or chocolate particularly though. The body is nicely slightly thick and creamy. Flavor is also almost exclusively dark slightly bitter coffee grounds. Really would like a touch of sweetness to balance it all out. As it is, a touch more roasty burnt flavor than I expected, but still a fantastic stout. Thanks andrew!

Foamy tight head and lace on an almost black pour. Aroma is chocolate and coffee. Thick chocolate syrup with a nice hard hints of coffee. A nice lingering bitter finish. Full rich palate with medium/low carbonation. A very nice offering.

Bottle from Ughsmash. Pours jet black in color. Dark roasted coffee beans in the aroma. Smells like an iced coffee or sticking your nose into a can of ground coffee. Some sweetness right up front. Roasted coffee dominates. Bitter burnt coffee finish. Alcohol is very well hidden. Great stout.
