Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

12oz bottle. Pours midnight black with a big creamy deep tan head, great lacing. The nose first hits you with fresh coffee followed by cocoa dust. Flavor is very chocolaty a good amount of coffee and toasted malts to back things up. Finish is bittersweet chocolate and quite creamy. A little more coffee in this one than I was expecting, damn good overall.

here we go, #1100! Thanks to Wolhfs for sending this beer my way. pours almost completely black with a small light brown head. a little red tinge at the surface of the beer. Chocolate, burnt grain husks, toasted oats, rasins, rum, carmel, butterscotch, char, and hazelnut coffee in the aroma. Holy crap! lots of dark chocolate flavors in this one. Rich roast, burnt with tons of coffee. Solid palate, but never becomes imperial by any means. Alcohol is never detected. A little metallic on the finish. Another winner from the stoutland (aka Michigan).

12 oz bottle special thanks to Silphium. Pours very dark with a brown head. Huge aromas of coffee, chocolate and more coffee. Flavors were more of the same with a strong hop finish. As things went on, the hops seemed to get stronger. Coffee aromas held strong to the end. Very tasty.

A trade extra from Emacgee. Pours black in color with a brown head. Aroma is great on this beer, with alot of fresh dark chocolate, fresh roasted coffee, and malty sweetness- one of the best aromas I’ve encountered in a stout. Taste is not even slightly a letdown- with a burst of rich coffee and chocolate over a sweet caramel base- rich full body, yet very smooth, creamy and drinkable. Finishes with lingering coffee beans, chocolate, and roasted malt bitterness. Drinking this was a great experience, thanks again Ethan.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Secret Santa. Pours black with a moderately large brown head that left lots of sticky lace while it quickly receded. Very pleasant aroma of coffee and roasted malt. The flavor is again coffee and roasted malt, however, the coffee isn’t as totally dominating as it is in some other coffee stouts I’ve had recently. Coffee bitterness at the finish. Good way to start the day!

As implied by the label, it is definately a hearty brew. Pours a deep heavy black colour with a very rich mouthfeel. Heavy in chocolate, vanilla and oats. Creamy texture. nice strong chocolatey aroma.

Space black, thick mocha colored head. As this neared room temp, a rich nose of chocolate covered espresso beans and caramel waft from my snifter. Additional notes of charred roasted coffee grounds follow closely behind. Flavor is all about coffee ground bitterness, dark chocolate, and ashy hops. Medium to full bodied, light carbonation, super dry, bitter coffee finish. Fantastic brew from these guys....

Beautiful stuff, dark, with a phenomenal mocha head, hangs in massive sheets on the side of the glass. Big coffee nose, bitter and a bit woody. Hugely coffee flavor at first, then some chocolate and molasses sweetness. Bit smoky as well.
