Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

12 oz bottle special thanks to Silphium. Pours very dark with a brown head. Huge aromas of coffee, chocolate and more coffee. Flavors were more of the same with a strong hop finish. As things went on, the hops seemed to get stronger. Coffee aromas held strong to the end. Very tasty.

As implied by the label, it is definately a hearty brew. Pours a deep heavy black colour with a very rich mouthfeel. Heavy in chocolate, vanilla and oats. Creamy texture. nice strong chocolatey aroma.

Smell is fresh ground coffee, roasty, malts, oatmeal, chocolate. Very nice aromas. The look is black, really dark, with a camel hair colored head. The taste is roasty, coffee, chocolate, malts, and oatmeal. Very good.

Pours and oily thick substance with a chocolate head. Deep, oily, robust, roasted aroma with a thick, full-bodied, viscous mouthfeel that delivers robust roastiness, coffee grains, black patent malts, and a pinch of alcohol to the palate. Moderate roast bitterness and deep, dark, chocolate on the finish. Flavors never unwind enough for me. To thick and unrelenting. Okay, but really, what’s the big deal?

Beautiful stuff, dark, with a phenomenal mocha head, hangs in massive sheets on the side of the glass. Big coffee nose, bitter and a bit woody. Hugely coffee flavor at first, then some chocolate and molasses sweetness. Bit smoky as well.

Bottle. Pours black with copper-ruby edge and good tan head. The aroma is toasted grains, hints of coffee, some bitter chocolate, and woody hops. The flavor is dense with roasted oats, bitter chocolate, herbal hops, and faint woody bitterness in the finish. Coffee wafts throughout. It leaves a slightly bitter, roasty aftertaste. This is a superb brew.

Thanks to TAR: Pours black with a thin dissipating brown head. Aroma of mostly coffee and light chocolate. Flavor is as you would expect: big on coffee initially fading to a chocolate finish. Appropriately bitter finish. Very full bodied, creamy. Very nice.
