Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

On tap at the Great Lakes Brew Fest. Pours black with a beige head. Lots of coffee in the aroma. Reminds me of Bunn coffee pot of coffee. Roasted, burnt, nice. Coffee in the flavor with roasted, toasted, and nutty malts. Creamy palate. Burnt finish. Thanks to the guy pouring, I drank a lot of full pours of this fine brew.

12oz bottle courtesy polomagnifico. Pours black with a thick tan head. Big silky oatmeal coffee aroma that is just beautiful. Chocolate, coffee, oatmeal, silky smooth with a slight bitterness. Really a nicely balanced stout that combines some great flavors of coffee and chocolate. An awesome stout.

Big thanks to drowland for this one. Pitch black pour with a nice tan head that rests on top of it. Gorgeous warm chocolate aroma. Some amount of roasted coffee ground also. Very nice aroma. Wow wonderful taste. Chocolate with soft coffee taste. Starbucks would be envious! Smooth mouthfeel with a roasted aftertaste that provides the right balance to the taste. I love this!

Bottle. Poured a motor oil black into a snifter. Aroma of roasted coffee, molasses and a hint of bitter chocolate. Flavor of oats, espresso, chocolate and some fruity notes. Full body with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel.

Sample at Extreme beer fest. Coffee grounds. Compost pile scent. Clean Black as night color. Bitter flavors, again coffee rules the day, molasses too. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. The compost aroma was a turn off, but maybe its just me.

Thanks to Ron Bush for this gem. Pours a pitch black color with a small brownish beige head lacing. Aroma is FRESH coffee beans and a hint of dark rich chocolate. Flavor is a coffee lover’s delight. Fresh roasted coffee taste with dark rich chocolate flavor. Leaves a coffee aftertaste along with malt and chocolate. Doesnt get much better than this.

Courtesy boboski. Strangely silent pour. Black. Small, light brown layer of foam. Nose of roasted coffee beans, burnt malt, bittersweet dark chocolate. Similar flavor, more intense, adds fresh oats. Bitter, roasted finish. Finish and aftertaste are rather short lived. Wonderful palate on this one- medium/full body, foamy yet creamy, very drinkable. Would be an excellent breakfast beer, well named. Great stout.
