Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

One of my go-to beers. I love the roasty flavors of coffee and dark chocolate. Complex and silky smooth on the mouth. You better enjoy coffee to love it, but even if you don;t it should rate up there with the best Imperial Stouts.

Black with creamy, (not big but beautiful) cappuccino brown head / Musty, earthy cigar box nose / Medium to full, chewy, body, dry, with exquisite, lingering finish / Flavors of tobacco, chocolate, dark roast coffee, oatmeal, and root beer with dry, hoppy finish / Not a complete monster, but rich and intense. Doesn’t get any better.

bottle poured into a snifter has a dark ink black color and a frothy true brown head that pulls back to a ring. aroma has dark roasted coffee, rich dark cocoa, fresh earth, and some toasted wood. mouth feel is not overwhelming and it coats the tongue completely. the flavor and texture have both benefited well from the oats. flavor has powerful dark roasted coffee and a perfect level of bitterness. dark truffle like chocolate and sweetness come across as it warmed up finishing smooth with a slight bitter bite at the sides of the tongue. superb balance for such a huge beer

Pours black with a nice tan head. Chocolate and dark coffee smells dominate. There are several complex flavors going on in this beer. Upfront coffee and oatmeal flavors lead to a nice chocolate finish. Very nice! Heavy mouthfeel with a silk component. Overall a tasty beer.

Poured into a snifter. Completely pitch black, light has no effect on this liquid. Head is modest in size, but very sticky. Smells like one of those sweetened iced coffees, with a nice roastiness but plenty of sweetness. The coffee flavor in this beer is absolutely epic. Dry espresso smacks the palate and lingers for minutes after the swallow. Unsweetened chocolate makes an appearance as well. It’s not overly bitter or astringent like some lesser American double stouts. Mouthfeel is so rich you can practically chew it. Light carbonation really lets the massiveness of this beer make itself known. The finish is long and dry, making you really want more with every sip. Excellent beer, can’t wait to compare with the KBS.

Bottle. Number 1000. Huge thanks to KingpinIPA. Pours black, with a lasting brown head. The aroma has rich roasted coffee, hazelnut, toasted oats, and just a hint of chocolate. Smooth, heavy body. The flavor has roasted coffee, roasted oats, charred wood, some dark chocolate bittersweetness, and roasted chestnuts. It finishes with a nice roasted and lightly hoppy bitterness. Very delicious. Dangerously drinkable.

OOOOHHHH!!!! This is definitely a top 10 beer...as jet black as a beer can get, this one has a fairly small 1/4 inch head of khaki bubbles. Nose is what I would imagine waking up to in the countryside...freshly brewed coffee, maple syrup, newly baked bread, and chocolate-chip pancakes!!! Flavor is extremely complex but not at all biting. Flavors impact the palate at different intervals; first coffee and chocolate, then smooth oatmeal and caramel. Mr. Atalla, thank you for the opportunity to try this!!!

Bottle. Haven’t had it in a few years. Dark as night pour with brown head. Load of coffee and bitter chocolate, so smooth and a huge finish. Amazing
