Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

I love this beer. A coffee lovers dream. Pours like oil. A hard pour and still no head but still a nice lacing. 60 IBU’s must be at the front end, because it is such a smooth beer. The best stout or coffee stout I have ever had. If someone knows a better one hook me up.

An old paramedic buddy of mine introduced me to Founder’s Breakfast Stout. I had grown tired of drinking bland light beers and he, in a way, resuscitated my passion for beer. I have always been a fan of Stouts, but now I’m a groupie. Guinness was always my go-to beer, but I can no longer drink Guinness without thinking of this beer. There is simply nothing bad to say about it. When you open the bottle you get a hint of coffee and chocolate that lets you know that you’re in store for something truly special. Founder’s Breakfast Stout takes a smooth, enjoying ride over your palate. I’ve never had a beer that brought back so many memories of my favorite edible delights. Coffee, dark chocolate, molasses... This beer is simply so damn good that I’m almost as angry that I swallowed it as I am happy to have had it caress every taste bud on the way down. I ration the bottles I have as to extend this taste nirvana. Please make more Breakfast Stout and send it all to Charlotte, NC.

Great beer! Could use a thicker body, but then, Mona Lisa is ugly, but makes a great work of art!

Black pour with thin tan head. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Full bodied, silky, very thick. Tastes like a cold, carbonated mocha with a touch of vanilla. Very sticky, aftertaste lingers. Amazing.

Phenominal! one of the best beers i have ever had. It has the hearty feeling of a stout but a tinge of sweetness. I can’t believe such a small brewery in my college town could make such an exceptional brew! TRY IT!

ON TAP!. This beer is at least 10% better on tap. I would assume due to the freshness? Only a 4.5 or less in the bottle. If you get the opportunity to try it on tap, DON’T MISS IT!!

12 oz. bottle. My 100th beer picked on the forum and boy did they choose well! Pours pitch black like used oil with a monsterous creamy brown head. The head is very slow to fade and a sticks to the glass the whole way down, leaving glorius lacing. The aroma is huge. From two feet away I can smell chocolate and roasted malt. As I get closer, I pick up big coffee notes, hints of ripe fruit, and oats. Creamy, thick, and viscous on the tongue. Oily and coating all the way down. The balance here is extraordinary. The palate is awash with chocolate, coffee, deeply roasted malt, oats, and a touch of dark fruit. A bitter chocolate taste lingers in the mouth. Heavy, rich and absolutely decadent!
