Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Bottle. Pours a deep used motor oil black with a thick brown head. Aroma of coffee and cocoa. This is one amazing brew. Flavors of chocolate and coffee dominate, along with a malt roastiness, but develops a slight sweet creaminess also. AWESOME!!!!!

This may be the best beer I have rated to date. An incredibly dark brown head atop an opaque, black body. Aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans interlaced with milk chocolate and raspberries. Overall impression of a great stout and coffee perfectly balanced by a residual sweetness that smooths out the rough edges and oiliness common to coffee stouts. The flavor once again expresses all of the aroma notes along with dark fruit and cream with a freshly milled coffee bean helping to dry out the finish. Truely phenomenal and the best interpretation of the style I have had.

This is up there among my favorite beers-- I was moping about the three I had in my basement from last year’s brewing when I found that the local beer store had a case. It’s an incredibly deep and complex beer, and around Philadelphia I’ve found that the biggest problem is that it gets served too cold (many bars serve pretty much everything at about the same temperature), and it’s so, so much better when it gets up above, I don’t know, 50 degrees. Warm, cold, whatever-- an excellent beer.

Thank you Yngwie for sharing this marvellous stout, it’s been very high on my wish list!! It’s pitch black with a dark brown and creamy head. The aroma is COFFEE, roasted malt and hints of smoke. The mouthfeel is oily and the beer clings to the glass - yummiiii... The flavour has notes of bitter, roasted coffee, a very light chocolate sweetness and light, smooth oats. It’s a beer that I wish would go on for ever..... 2448

EBF ’06: Mmmm, tasty. I don’t think I’d actually hve this for breakfast though, but it sure was good. The coffee hits you right up front and stays with you through the whole beer.

Wow. This beer has such a strong aroma. Coffee with a hint of choclate. The flavor is so strong you want to look at the bottom of the glass for the grinds. The palate is unreal. This is a great brew.

The aroma of this beer is a mixture of malt, caramel, and there is a mild hint of smoke in the background. It is a black solution with a thick cashew colored head. This rich beer offers the palate a plethora of flavors. There are the flavors of coffee, molasses, malt, smoke, and oak pops up in the finish. This beer exits the mouth leaving a strong coffee taste lingering on the taste buds.

Bottle compliments of acertain... Pours a dark black with a thin brown head. Smells like strong espresso....with a hint of alcohol and some chocolate ice cream. As someone who loves a good espresso and a good beer(I went to a bar that dropped shots of cold espresso in my Guiness for me in Europe), I’m really looking forward to tasting this. It does not dissapoint...Wonderful espresso flavor. Has a great sweetness to it. Reminds me of a mild "mexican hot chocolate"(with cinnamon in it) mixed with coffee and a stout. Thick beer with a soft finish.... Love it....pretty close to perfect for my tastes. I’ll be getting more of this in the future for sure.
