Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Pretty much lived up to expectation. Thick chewy foamy head - kinda like a root beer float. Reminded me of Bell’s Expedition Stout but a bit sweeter and heavier on the coffee. Very thick on the palate - I tasted the beer for many minutes after taking a sip. Very enjoyable and would enjoy again (if I can find it anywhere again).

Black in color with a large thick beautiful brown head. Aroma is of fresh ground coffee beans. It’s like walking into a starbucks or through central markets coffee section. It also has chocolate and roasted malts in the nose. Taste is of coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, and roasted malts. Thisck like oatmeal, rich and creamy. I want another.

Thanks goes out to a few great traders who have sent me this one The bottle poured into a tulip glass produced a large two fingers worth of tan head on top of a thick jet black body Aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, and oats with a nice background of caramel and vanilla this has one of the best smells of any stout I have tried These tastes like you are eating a big dark chocolate bar while drinking a great cup of espresso with just enough caramel sweetness To keep things from being overly bitter It poured like molasses nice and thick in the mouth as well with just enough carbonation to keep things interesting One a night would be my max on this one, but I wouldn’t mind drinking this a few nights in a row. A great all around stout

Bottle. Very deep and dark color. A chocolate black with a thing tan head that quickly fades. Smells heavy with coffee. Taste like a high quality roasted coffee with some subtly and tasty chocolate flavors. You can taste the quality that when into making this beer.

12 oz bottle thanks to AdamB84 from BA site. This brew pours thick like molasses and oh so dark! No head except for a very thin tan line around the glass. A lovely aroma of roasted malt and coffee with some chocolate and alcohol. Taste is so wonderful! Coffee, oatmeal and chocolate with some roasty and burnt tastes. Medium body with dry aftertaste. Liked this better than it’s Kentucky Bourbon brethren. Goes to top three of my favorite Imp stouts, maybe best I’ve had.

12oz shorty bottle. Thick black color with faded patches of rusty orange head. Smooth and luscious, probably the best oatmeal stout I’ve ever had. Perfect mouthfeel, full of flavor yet semi subued. Not syrupy or hoppy. I taste the coffee, but really don’t find it overwhelming, just part of the equation. Excellent stuff, creamy and rich, mellow carbonation.

Much thanks to my midwest main man, mreusch (Thanks, Matt!). A viscous, thick, soup of a pour, with a milk chocolate brown, enormously thick head. There’s not so much lacing left as the head dissippates, more like an opaque film on the glass. The nose is incredibly rich with coffee & chocolate influences. The flavor is more of the aroma, with a light touch of smoky maltiness, with a creamy mouthfeel, and a subtle bitter finish. I love great coffee and great beer, so this is a match made in Heaven! Excellent brew.

Bottle: Great beer. Pours very, very dark with a good head. Strong aroma of chocolate and coffee. Flavor same as aroma. I can’t wait to drink again.
