Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Pretty much lived up to expectation. Thick chewy foamy head - kinda like a root beer float. Reminded me of Bell’s Expedition Stout but a bit sweeter and heavier on the coffee. Very thick on the palate - I tasted the beer for many minutes after taking a sip. Very enjoyable and would enjoy again (if I can find it anywhere again).

Black in color with a large thick beautiful brown head. Aroma is of fresh ground coffee beans. It’s like walking into a starbucks or through central markets coffee section. It also has chocolate and roasted malts in the nose. Taste is of coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, and roasted malts. Thisck like oatmeal, rich and creamy. I want another.

Thanks goes out to a few great traders who have sent me this one The bottle poured into a tulip glass produced a large two fingers worth of tan head on top of a thick jet black body Aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, and oats with a nice background of caramel and vanilla this has one of the best smells of any stout I have tried These tastes like you are eating a big dark chocolate bar while drinking a great cup of espresso with just enough caramel sweetness To keep things from being overly bitter It poured like molasses nice and thick in the mouth as well with just enough carbonation to keep things interesting One a night would be my max on this one, but I wouldn’t mind drinking this a few nights in a row. A great all around stout

This beer poured a motor oil black with a nice brown head to it and plenty of lacing. The smell of it was like a flavored coffee - lots of coffee, chocolate and spice. Very nice taste to this beer - for a double the alcohol did not overwhelm but was just right and the chocolate, coffee, nuttiness and malt made this an almost perfect beer. The mouthfeel was nice and creamy. I drank one of my favorite porters by another brewer after this beer and realized how much that beer paled in comparison to this one - this is a winner and will be regular in my beer fridge.

From a 12 oz bottle into a snifter. Pours with one finger of dark brown/gray head which dissipates very quickly. Aroma is all about coffee, maybe a little bit of chocolate but the coffee is where it’s at. Mouthfeel is very nice, thick and creamy. I’ve tried a taste of it on draft and it was even better. Taste is a mix of chocolate and coffee with an underlying tartness that’s common to most oatmeal stouts. All flavors blend together nicely and don’t leave an overly cloying aftertaste in the mouth. Alcohol is present but very subdued. An overall excellent beer. It’s on the pricey side but worth a taste.

This was one of the first imperial stouts that i ever tried, and got me into drinking them and trying to find more i like. Could definitely see myself drinking this in the morning instead off coffee if i had an awful hangover or wanted to start my day with a drink.

ppearance is a thick, oily, viscous liquid. Dark as night. The head was about one finger, mocha colored, and thin, disappating into a few islands. When swirling the glass a little this liquid looks extremely thick. The nose is roasted coffee up front and a creamy scent. No trace of alcohol. Very nice. Taste is accurate to the name, a nice sip of a great amount roasted coffee beans, milk, and a medium sweet malty sensation in the background. Leaves a fantastic coffee aftertaste; I wish I had a real coffee that tasted this good. Mouth is good, this isn’t nearly as thick as it looks when pouring it. Carbonation is medium, body is medium. No heat feeling. Very creamy.
