Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Pours pitch black with a thick brown head. Sweet coffee nose, very heavy, extreme and D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!!! Coffee, coffee and more coffee in the flavor. Dry and roasted with some sweetness. I love coffee and I adore this stout. Very different and extremely nice!!!

Sampled on draft at Smokin Joes in Pittsburgh PA this beer poured a pitch black color with a a large, creamy and exceptionally dark brown head - absolutely lovely. The aroma was fairly mediocre dry roasty coffee with not a whole lot more going on. The flavor was an incredibly rich and complex mix of sweet chocolate, cream, toasty malts, marshmallow, malted milk and light sweet coffee. The finish was exceptionally long and smooth with sweet toasty chocolate and malted milk. The mouthfeel was thick and smooth. Very complex with a whole lot going on. Incredible!

Glad I didn’t rate after my first test of this brew, because it probably would have been rated a 2.5 or so... but upon my second visit, that I was NOT looking foward to I found this brew to not only be enjoyable, but phenomenal. Dont know what happened in between the 2 bottles (both from same 4 pack, tested at same temp, only difference was the drinking glass) but it went from ok to great. A new favorite. So much flavor hidden in this gem. Wonderful coffee tones, with nice thick chocolate, big time malt roaming around in there. Flavors and aroma that would knock the socks off most brews, this is a special one!

Most stouts that claim expresso or java etc. or dark chocolate fall short, but Breakfast delivers. An extremely intense, black, chewy brew with a dark brown head. A major presence of expresso and dark chocolate create a well rounded, dry, very flavorful stout. Had it at the brewery, just beautiful.

Bottle, black with a medium brown head that dissipates in a couple of minutes to nothing, medium lacing, aroma of great coffee upon opening, wow upon tasting i don’t know if i get more coffee or chocolate, well balanced, very smooth and melts off the tongue. this is a great stout.

12 oz. Bottle. 2 years old Absolutely every sip of this Amazing brew came on strong with all flavors of Oatmeal, Coffee, and Chocolate as promised. Just like the westie 8 each flavor melts in on your tongue as it fades away into the next flavor. Thanks Jason for this rare bottle. I will continue to dream of it until I can get some more

pours like 40 weight and looks like it too. Very thick, foamy, tan head. Lots of lace. Nose is what label says. Very full bodied. Rich, almost totally bitter, but then goes bittersweet. Long, long finish that becomes warming. Leave sweetness on lips. Opaque. had a bottle tonight at Bodega downtown La Crosse

Pours a pitch black with a thin, very dark tan head that fades slowly to a thin ring and spotty cap. I wasn’t expecting much as far as lacing but pretty nice for the style. Smell; lots of roasted coffee beans, chocolate and oatmeal. That coffee aroma really makes me think of morning time. Taste; man, the coffee flavors really show up big time. I’m a coffee person, so this is a very good thing. The chocolate sneaks through some, as well as little bit of some dark fruits. There’s a touch of bitterness and alcohol in the finish. This is one beer that I might actually consider drinking for breakfast. Mouthfeel is full bodied, and very smooth, and oh so drinkable.
