Radek Kliber (3342), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 24, 2005 This stout pours creamy, fluffy head, dark almost black in its appearance. Semi dry coffee aroma, slightly acidic, light woody character. Very nice. Mouthfeel was very clean, full bodied, plenty of roast coffee character. Nice bitters. Yet aroma promised more of roaster richer experience that flavour delivered.
bassbuckeye (65), Ohio, USA Oct 13, 2008 Poors nice and dark smells of roasted cappacino..... tast roasted coffee with a slight bitter chocolate did have a hint alchohal after taste nearbeer (1336), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 12, 2008 12 oz. Opaque black with a small head that tries to last, and leaves some frosty lace. Aroma is pretty much pure coffee, maybe some oats. Flavor is coffee, turning to cocoa and oats, some light peanut and caramel. Heavy body is smooth, sticky and dryish, with some light tingle. Smooth and tasty one-note beer that’s a bit overrated. yobdoog (374), Woodridge, New York, USA Oct 12, 2008 This stuff is strong. A ton of everything it says. Coffee and chocolate and you know it. So rich and really good. A lot of alcohol comes through for me too. a10555 (111), West Chester, Ohio, USA Oct 11, 2008 Might I suggest this for breakfest. Outstanding beer, like having some great coffeee with a little alcohol in it.
Very good beer! CelticBrew (512), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Oct 11, 2008 Pours from 12 oz bottle almost completely black, forming beautiful off black foamy head. Aroma of chocolate delights, hops, malts, espresso coffee beans. Flavour much of the same, simple bliss and goodness, smoothness prevails in rich and sublime cleanness. Bitterness and hops give the beer a supreme character, kick ass!
