Seriously, dude is very close to official canonization for sending this deliciousness my way - UNSOLICITED!!! Josh for the motherfucking win. Anyways, the beer was really nice. Still carbonated appropriately for the style, it poured nice and creamy out of the handbottle. There’s more wood in the nose than maple, which is quite pleasant in that it balances out the sweetness to give the brew a really nice balance to it. Just a hint of smoke, and lots of chocolate too. Are there s’mores in my breakfast too? So smooth and creamy, even if there’s not quite enough of the coffee in there to my liking. Really delicious. chicagodri (1074), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Good aroma of cocoa, wood, coffee, and the maple syrup is apparent in the aroma. Good flavor, I love the Breakfast Stout already and the maple syrup is barely noticeable, but there to add just a touch of flavor. Well done, nice flavor and body. SoLan (1427), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 28, 2009 Courtesy StFun. Black, brown edges, and a few tan bubbles that disappear quickly. Big, smooth imperial stout. Maple apparent in the nose and more subdued in flavor, notes of barrel throughout. Awesome brew. TampaBrew (900), Tampa, Florida, USA

Nose is big bourbon, alcohol, cocoa, some maple syrup and roasty grains. Flavor is semi sweet chocolate, some wood, loads of roasted grain, coffee, and rich maple syrup. Perfect body, smooth as smooth can be. Amazingly good beer. kiefdog (1639), Tampa, Florida, USA

Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of chocolate, light roast, vanilla, bourbon, hints of wood, some toffee and ripe dark fruit notes. Full body with a really nice mouthfeel and boozy malt finish. We docked whilst drinking this lovely elixir. Black pour, thick head, wet lacing on the glass. Nose is massive bourbon, maple syrup, nice caramel and chocolate. Very nice. Flavor is also fantastic: incredibly smooth bourbon, chocolate, caramel, maple, dry woodsy notes, vanilla. Simply delicious. As smooth as any big beer I’ve had, drinkable as hell, amazing, really. tpd975 (251), Riverview, Florida, USA

A: Pours a nice deep dark black. with a small tan head. No lace.
S: Wonderful fresh maple syrup aroma. Hints of bourbon and vanilla hide beneath.
T: WOW! Fresh sweet maple syrup up front, rich, bold, sweet good. The bourbon shows up in the middle. It does not overpower which I like because it lets the maple shine. Vanilla seems to meld right into the maple. The finish a bit of fresh coffee comes out with just a touch of chocolate. Very Very Very complex.
M: Rather full in body, rich, thick, smooth. It lacks carbonation a bit but it has been in the growler a while. No sense of oxidation what so ever.
D: Crazy good. I would love to start and end every day with a glass of this. One of the best tasting beers in the world no doubt about it. Only flaws this beer has is due to the growlering of it. Fresh it could very well be a 5

Smells like something I wnat a growler of! Nose of chocolate, oaky vanilla, maple, and almost a bourbon like alcohol note. Black with brown edges and a small ring of tan bubbles. Flavor is peppery alcohol, and a smoky note to go with the chocolate. Excellent!
