Commercial Description:
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

12 oz. bottle. average khaki creamy head (that lasts) into lively golden body with good lacing present. aromas of well balanced citrus hops (not overwhelming). flavor is initially lightly sweet then immediately becomes more intense and the intensity grows to a moderate bitterness. somewhat creamy mouthfeel. long lasting finish duration. damn fine IPA.

This is all about the finish to me. There’s a sweet aroma and a fairly balanced sweet and hoppy flavor, but the finish is really dry that ends up bursting into a pine and citrus hop flavor. Really nice.

Cloudy orange pour with minimal head and no lacing. Aroma is lovely of earthy pine and citrus/lemony hops. The flavor is wonderfully bitter that strangely has a sweet aftertaste. Mouth feel is slightly metallic but is creamy and has nice medium carbonation. Overall is solid and drinkable.

Was a little uncertain about this beer the first time around, but, after drinking some of my favorite IPA’s and returning to this one, I realize how much I liked this beer. Good fruity, grassy nose, with a smooth bitterness. Great beer!!

First time drinking a Founders! I had never been able to find it, but during a trip to New Jersey it appeared at a local Bottle King. Pours a golden/copper slightly hazy color with a healthy head that stick around. Lacing is very nice. Aroma is hoppy/malty. Flavor has light carmel and citrus tones. A very solid brew!

I have had a couple beers from Founders, and it seems to be a pretty solid company. This one claims 65 IBU’s and I can believe it. It has good hop flavor, but it also hits you with a ton of bitterness. The nose is grapefruit/citrus. You know what you are getting into when you sniff this one. There is a good dose of malt that balances out, a very solid brew
