Smells of crisp hops and grapefruit citrus, with a small malt presence. The flavor is very crisp and sharp with a big juicy grapefruit citrus and hop presence. very nice hop bitterness left in the finish and lingering aftertaste. really nice drinking lively IPA. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 16, 2009 Transparent copper, oily after the small beige head dissipates quickly. Nose has pine and grapefruit, very clean hop bitterness. Flavor has more caramel malt but is still very bitter, lots of citrus and pine, slight alcohol. A little salty and thin, quite dry. Possibly my favorite of the Founders I have tasted. metmayhem (7), Kentucky, USA does not count | 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Mar 15, 2009 this beer was very impressive. i couldent believe the taste wow... love the finish and what a great aroma as well. it was first time trying this beer but it wont be my last time thats for sure...A++++
