| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2009 Hefty, almost oily, slippery body. Bronze with big legs of carbonation streaming along the side of the glass. Floral, peachy aroma. Giant astringency, lots of grapefruit in the flavor. Some breadiness; catchy and even a touch of salt and pepper at the end. Minimal sweetness, very bitter, but tempered by the body. Good. CheersMate1 (840), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 3, 2009 Purchased at Bruisin Ales in North Carolina. All I can say is that I am happy to have the opportunity to try beers from this brewery. If you live in Atlanta go to Bruisin Ales! Anyways, Very nice IPA, with a pungent hop aroma. Little citrus hop action going on. Nice thin head on top that leaves decent lacing. The beer has a nice orange color. Lovely looking IPA. I have never seen a plain IPA like this. Nice malt taste upfront, but after that the hops take over. The bittering hop is great because it kicks in after you have finished swallowing the beer. Great bitter flavor for this. Nice range of hops coming out. A damn good IPA with a decent palate as well. Awesome IPA, with some lingering bitterness. mattmc1973 (313), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 2, 2009 12 oz bottle, poured into a tulip glass. Deep orange/amber color, darker than most IPA’s. Huge fluffy off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit and floral citrus hops, but offset with a lot of malty sweetness. Taste is very sweet and malty, with nice citrusy hop bite, but not too heavy. Very smooth mouthfeel. Perhaps my favorite IPA I’ve had! Founders never disappoints. curly (707), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
