Jun 24, 2008 12 oz bottle into pint. Great hazy honey brown pour with a big rich slightly off-white head and soft carbonation. Aroma includes hints of fruity citrus hops as well as a gentle pine hoppy background. The hop aroma is kind of strange, smells a lot like pure raw and cooked hops that have been taken out of a brew kettle. Flavor is very raw earthy hops and a good amount of pale malt. It is strange and unique, but I like it. Smooth and medium to light bodied on the palate with not to much carbonation at all. Overall: this stuff is good and refreshing, and I really enjoyed the earthiness of the hops - very original flavor as far as I have experienced.

Jun 22, 2008 bottle. pours clear orange with a fluffy white head. lots of lacing. great aroma - crisp citrus and grass. solid lemony, resinous bitter without being overpowering. it has a nice sweetness to it - enough to provide a fresh honey and caramel flavors but kept in check by the hops to keep it from being cloying. top notch.

Jun 20, 2008 Solid IPA. Definitely can detect some sort of floral bitterness but it is well-balanced and not too bitter.

Jun 15, 2008 pours a murky reddish-brown. very little head that sticks to the sides of the glass. smells like citrusy hops, but not as strong as I was expecting. It could be due to my allergies acting up, however. spicy hops and a long bitter finish, albiet not an unpleasant one. bottled 5/12/08, drank 6/15/08.

This was the opening beer at a Founders tasting. I was a bit surprised they didn’t start with the dry hopped pale ale but it was a nice way to freshen up the palate. It was light enough that it wouldn’t be too tough to finish off several while out at the grill. This is an excellent well made IPA that deserves attention if you run across it.
Aroma / Appearance - A short lived white head surged to the top above an amber carbonated body. Malts and hops blended with the bitterness being a bit more evident. Resin and cedar chips were the strongest evidence of the centennial presence.
Flavor / Palate - The bitterness hits the tongue from the start. It was not overpowering but well balanced and sessionable. Cedar chips, resin and creaminess completed an enjoyable start to the evening.

Jun 5, 2008 Bottle courtesy of fiver29 & BR007. Pours a medium clear amber with minimal head sans for an off-white soap film topper that creates decent lacing. Nose is sweet caramel malt, citrus and pine. Palate is a more subdued version of the nose. Not as hoppy as I expected but a nicely done balanced IPA. Thanks John and Brian.

Jun 5, 2008 White fluffy head with lasts for a while. Orange in color with nice hoppy smell. Not too strong and finishes pleasantly.
