Lots of pine and grassy aromas. Citrus in there too. Similar flavor with more floral than citrus. Very tasty. BREWMUSKCLES (1087), New Jersey, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a decent off white head. Aroma is flowery, hoppy, and a bit citrusy but overall not very strong. The taste is rich and strong. The maltiness works with the hops although it is a bit too sour. Palate was thick and full with a strong hop bite. TPaliga (212), Munster, Indiana, USA

Very hoppy with a bit if citrus.
A pretty strong hoppy taste with a bit of a bitter finish.
Thick and only slightly bubbly.
This is a very drinkable IPA and would definitely recommend. kmweaver (2489), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 5, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy, earthy-orange color; very light khaki head with solid retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Solid, resiny oranges and citrus and a touch of earthy hops in the aroma; hop-forward, chewy stuff. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy oranges and sticky candy sugar and some earthiness underneath; nice resiny hoppiness and a touch of breadiness and orange zest in the finish. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 1, 2008 12oz bottle from Warehouse, Cleveland. With my relatively limited experience with Founders, I’ve tended to associate them with dark, winter-oriented brews (e.g. KBS, Curmudgeon, Deca). I was pleasantly surprised to drink this flavorful, exceptionally creamy IPA. Surely an appropriate name, immediately evident in both nose and flavor. Traces of pine are there, but mostly a citrus bomb, really benefiting from the substantial body. Very fine.
