Commercial Description:
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

12 oz bottle...Light amber-orange color with medium white lasting head. Awesome citrus hop aroma really makes me want to tear into this. Flavor is mainly citrus like hops with a sweet malty backdrop and just a slight hint of pine. Finishes with a pleasant bitterness. Nice IPA.

Pours a ruby orange with light, soapy head. Strong citrus and hop odors. Starts off with a nice crisp maltiness, and ends with a great hoppy bitterness. A really interesting IPA- great balance between malts and hops.

This is a really beautiful IPA. It’s nice to have an IPA once in a while that’s not viciously hopped, and pays attention to the malt character as well. Beautiful big head that lasts forever and leaves tons of lace on the glass. The dry-hopping adds a wonderfully floral fresh aroma and flavor.

Bottle: Pours a deep, slightly hazy orange with a creamy dense, light tan head. Rich flowery American hop nose, with a solid cookie-malt background. Smells like fresh cookie dough and lemon-zest. A bit thin in body, especially considering the aroma. The flavor is less pronounced than the aroma as well. Has a bisquity malt presence, with a mild cookie malt back. The hop character is limited to a spicy, subtle citrus character, reminiscent of tangerines. The finish has a fresh lingering bitterness. Not as assertively hoppy as I had hoped, but still a very well made and smooth IPA.

Orange in color, cloudy. Perfect head, whitish. Citrus aroma. Well balanced hops in flavor, with floral, citrus. Good crisp bitterness at the end (but not too bitter).

Cloudy red and orange appearance with an off-white head. Aroma was weakly reminiscent of citrus and floral but lacked that punch I expect from an IPA. Flavor was equally disappointing. Not my favorite IPA.

12 oz bottle - pours a beautiful cloudy apricot hue with a two-finger orangey head. Lots of suspended particles. Really, really nice to look at. Big fresh citrusy aroma along with peach, candied fruit, and a touch of alcohol. Flavours are more of the same, but the beer isn’t overwhelmingly hoppy, but surprisingly (given the bold hoppiness of the aroma) quite well-balanced with a decent amount of sweet malt in there to match the massive hops. Not to say the hops aren’t on full display. It has a lovely fresh dry-hopped flavour, as well as apricot. The body is kind of surprisingly thin, and the finish is very short. Excellent product.

Bottle: pours a not quite clear orange color with a very thin head, aroma of oranges, you can taste the hops in this one but they aren’t overpowering, there is a nice balance here, a slight bitter aftertaste reminds you that you’re drinking an IPA. Very solid IPA.
