The nose is mostly pine and citrus, some light pineapple, slightly floral, and has some caramel malt to it. Starts out sweet in the mouth, but quickly fades to hops and bitterness. I like the hop profile in this. It complements the malt very well and is also very tasty. One of the more solid IPA’s I’ve had. obguthr (1051), Poquoson, Virginia, USA

Cloudy, dark golden, full of floaties, thin head, some lacing. The flavor of honeycomb goes straight to the head. Rose hip and grapefruit notes abound.Bitter strawberry finish. The sweet honey, tart grapefruit and bitter rose hip flavors blend in perfect harmony. This may be too perfumey for some, but I absolutely LOVE this beer! Truly outstanding. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 14, 2009 Almost no aroma, draft. Dark yellow/amber light pour, light carbonation. Med. body. Very bitter- it gives you that bitter feeling int he back of your mouth. It’s pretty overpowering, too over the top to be really enjoyable for me. Damico (179), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 9, 2009 The dry hopping contributes largely to the aroma and the flavor. As explained in the description, it really is never too bitter, which is impressive and really makes it an excellent IPA overall. The color is a beautiful reddish brown ale. Founders NEVER disappoints. Scouser (41), Pennsylvania, USA

Nice golden amber colour. i like this one, a litle different, and a well brewed beer. omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 8, 2009 Bottled ay Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Hazy amber, brief head. Peachy soapy hop aroma,. Sweet and compact with clean mouthfeel. The peachy, sopay hops together with overt sweetness and clean, somewhat syrupy malt forms an immense bitterness that gets slight inky edges. While it contains loads of pleasnt flavoutrs it’s too sweet and unbalanced to live up to my high expectations on this brewer.
