1/2 a shared 12oz. bottle. Pours orangy pink, no head, cloudy. Nose of ripe, stinky cherries. yeast. Flavor is sour cherry, slight carbonation. Not a whole lot to this one, I prefer the Rubaeus. (re-rate) Dan’s Bachelor Party Extended Weekend Rating #48 of 90. On tap at Founders in Grand Rapids. Compared to the bottle this has a much more pronounced and amazing sour bing cherry flavor. I dig it.

Okay...very interesting occurrence. My wife, who likes absolutely NO beer, took a sip, then took my beer. I told her I needed a few more sips for an effective rating and she growled at me. Anyway, it was very red, with little head and lacing. The flavor (what I got of it) was really fruity, smooth and silky. There are a lot of cherries in this one, definitely "more fruity than beery"...but I prefer all fruit beers to be off of middle, one direction or another. I’d call this a winner from Founders. I’d like to find some more so I could actually enjoy one.

Draft: Poured a reddish color with not much head. The aroma was sweet cherries and malts. The flavor was sweet, cherry, almost a wine feel. Overall, just ok, a little too fruity and not enough tart. Just ok.

12 oz bottle at PPRBSG. Pours a nice pinkish violet with a foamy cobwebby whtie head. Aroma is nice tart and sweet cherries- lightly pitty with almond - some sweetness as well- jammy and sugary with slight herbal grassiness. Flavor is a bit more green with some cherry jamminess- earth and almost a cinnamon apple pie hint as well- tart finish- pretty nice overall.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a reddish amber color with a medium sized disappearing white head. The aroma has only a slight amount of cherry over a toasted bready type malt. The flavor is a blend of sweet cherry and slightly tart cherry with a doughy malt base. This beer is replacing Rubaeus and that’s disappointing because it’s not as good. Light/medium mouthfeel and a touch thin. Not one of my favorites.

True amber color with a pinkish/light red head and blanketing lacing. Smells of honey, fresh cherries and bread. It’s sweet then mildly tart, fairly lighter in body. All malt and fruit. Tastes of ripe cherries, white grapes, glazed doughnuts and honey. You can taste the real fruit and it works well in this brew. One bottle was plenty for my enjoyment.

Bottle courtesy Durhambeer. Pours a slightly flat brownish red pink with little head. Fresh sweet cherry aroma. Smooth cherry taste with a nice malt body. Not a bad fruit beer.
