The aroma is cherry juice and malts. Smells like Vienna or carapils. The flavor is quite good. Starts off with sweet and tart cherries. It morphs into an ultra-toasted malt. Finishes with some pie flavors. The palate is sweet and juicy. Mouth watering. Texture really works. Dogbrick (2864), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Sample at Bodega. This beer pours a clear ruby-amber color with a medium thin and fizzy pinkish-white head that recedes quickly. Sour cherry and raspberry aroma. Medium-bodied with tart cherry and malt flavors along with a touch of medicine. The finish is sour cherry and malt with a tart fruit aftertaste that lingers a bit. Decent overall, but would be a lot better with some more sweetness to offset the dominant sour cherry character. alobar (1026), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Pink grapefruit juice color with a light pink head. Aroma of cherry and maybe some hops. Flavor of cherry-tart and sweet. Different. merlin48 (518), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Pours a cloudy pink grapefruit juice shaded body with a skimpy pinkish head. Muted aroma has some cherry and yeast. Taste has a pleasant tart and sweet cherry dominance, with some yeast and sweet malt. Decent, but I’ve never been a big fan of Founders fruit beers. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Copper red color with a lightly pink tinted head. The smell was up front with mild sweet cherries and some green plant matter. Taste of fairly sweet cherry flavored licorice candy. There is also some hint of that cherry pit goodness in the finish. Light on carbonation, there is also some notes of biscuit in the finish. Not overly intense or sweet, this one is balanced and fun to drink. FastEddie (182), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 1/5 | 15/20 | Jun 13, 2009 Pours a large, foamy, light pink head. Flavor is a dry cherry, with some hops. An interesting and unique balance. Quite pleasant. abcfan (247), New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 13, 2009 Decent beverage, but not sure how this passes for "beer". Poured pink with fizzy white head. Aroma/taste dominated by cherries mixed with malt liquor. Very biting carbonation. Not so sure I’d ssek this one out again. dnstone (228), Mons, Belgium
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2009 This beer is very mild all around, which is why it fails to impress. Could use more cherry, more tartness, more anything.
