May 21, 2009 Comparing with Lakefront Cherry out of Milwaukee. I don’t see much to like here. There’s a bit of cherry flavor, but fairly sour and just strong enough to be bothersome.

May 21, 2009 Updated: May 24, 2009Pours a light pinkish red colour with a short white head. Aroma is sour cherry, almost kriek like. Flavor is much sweeter than I was expecting, with a somewhat chemical quality similar to maraschino cherries - not in a good way. I also found this to be a bit thin and overall was unimpressed.

May 20, 2009 This beautiful, pink colored beer has a soft, tart cherry flavor, but overall, it lacks what I enjoy in fruit fermented beers. There is just not enough fruit nor tartness nor yeastiness. I wonder what yeast was used on Cerise, I doubt it was a Belgian. Sometimes I think that we are all spoiled by Belgian lambics, and it is probably a mistake to judge all fruit ales by lambics.

May 20, 2009 I drank that boy down in like 5 minutes. Great summer beer. I am impressed with how little sweetness there is to it. Not much on the nose, or much for appearance, but it delivers in flavor and palate. I was wondering what kind of goodie to bring to a cookout this weekend, this might be it.

May 20, 2009 Bottle… Mostly clear orange ale with a brief, small, fizzy, white head. Sweet, grainy aroma... I’m not picking up much in the way of fruit or cherries. Medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor delivers more than the nose implies. Sweet, tart and fruity. Lots of cherry here. Coarse, dry finish.

May 19, 2009 12oz bottle–pours a dissipating pink head and ornge/pink color. Aroma is musty light malt, some cherry. Taste is cherry pie with slight herbal/musty, light malt/bready. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for sharing.

May 18, 2009 Tap @ Cole’s. Cloudy pink/amber, next to no head. Nose is cherry juice, raspberry, belgian golden ale. Flavor is cherry syrup - the fruit’s brightness is kind of muddled by the malt. Sweet light toffee in the finish.

May 18, 2009 12oz bottle thanks Dave (dmschefke). Pink/red color with a light pink head. Smells of berries, not overwhelming, but it’s there. Very sweet berry flavor, but at the same time it’s not super powerful, pretty nice considering I’m not a big fruit beer guy.
