Some of the details are a little hazy]. Wasn’t really that into this one. Just OK. TheBeerGod (3171), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2009 Bottle. Red bodied with a slightly pinkish white foamy head. Aroma is dark cherry, sweetened cherry pie, and sour fruit. Taste is tart cherries, slight spicy notes, cherry pie, hint of grains and overall very dessert-like. Body is light, slightly tart and very spritzy. Ends with more spicy cherries, tart berry notes and almost a pie crust like sweetness. Couldn’t help but think cherry pie the whole way through this and that’s not a bad thing. WabashMan (817), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2009 An ok fruit beer, but it just isn’t all that interesting. Pour is a nice red color, with a foamy pink head. Nose is fairly thin, unfortunately. Flavor is most reminiscent of a cherry cobbler. Not too tart, a little sweet, and a little bready. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 16, 2009 12oz Bottle. Slight pale cherry and cherry pie crust aroma. A little bit beery and a little bit boozy with a decent dose of cherries, but nothing out of control. Pours a clear deeply hued peachy rose, with a nice rim in fine clean white bubbles. Flavor starts sweet and then delivers a wallop of thick tartness. A bit explosive in the mouth. The flavor grows into some canned cherries, one of those hand fruit pies you buy in wax paper in a gas station, some particularly tangy (almost metallic) flesh and pit character. Chewy and a bit sweeter than I would like from the style. But, generally, this is a really solid, bright fresh quietly flavored cherry beer with few flaws. Thanks much Sean! | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 16, 2009 Tart cherries in the aroma. Cloudy red pour, wine like, and a creamy, frothy head. Flavor had the same tart cherry presence, but was pretty acidic really. I noticed some white grape presence near the finish. Palate was very smooth but non-descript otherwise. Alright, but I wouldn’t seek it out. Disappointing for a cherry lover. juiceisloose (677), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2009 Updated: Nov 14, 2009Courtesy fantomas23. This one pours a dark pink almost red color with a small pink head that dissipates quickly. The aroma shows sweet and tart cherries to go with candied sugar. The flavor follows suit with a blend of the sweet and tart cherries leaning more to the sweet side with all the residual sugar. Medium-full bodied and slightly cloying due to the stickiness of the sugar. Pretty good sweet tart flavors with the cherry, but falls well short of the New Glarus Belgian Red. Still not a bad fruit beer at all. WeeHeavySD (3041), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

Nose is sweet but not all that exciting. Taste is sweet and cherry and all in all not bad, but not really that great shakes for a fruit beer or for Founders. pantanap (1369), Chicago, Illinois, USA
