Bottle. Pours a light reddish pink with a thick light pink head. Aroma of cinnamon, sweet cherry, and apple pie. Wow, this tastes like a fresh apple pie (crust, fruit, and spices)! Yum! I don’t know why this tastes more like apple than cherry but I don’t care! A little on the sweet side. I’m glad I decided to try a bottle of this. 7/4/8/4/15 (3.8/5)

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy cherry red with a small, foamy, pinkish white head. Sour dark cherries and medium malt notes in the nose. Medium-high carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Sour cherries on the palate with a nice malt sweetness in back. Perhaps a bit of grapefruit in there too. Medium-short finish with some lingering bitter cherry on the tongue. Good lacing. Fruity and refreshing, but I am hard pressed to think of an occasion when this is what I would choose. Worth trying none the less.

Draft at Sunset Grill. Poured a clear pinkish-red color. The head was also pink and left some lace behind. Smelled of light cherry. Light bodied and fairly sweet. The sugars were tempered somewhat by the tart cherry flavor. There was also pale malt note. Nice fruit beer without any medicinal flavors that the style seems to be prone to.

Bottle. Bottled: 04/01/09. A pinkish amber pour with virtually no head. The fruity aroma features plenty of cherries, some sour lemons, wheatiness, and hints of cinnamon in the distance. Medium-bodied. The flavor starts off lip-smackingly tart with loads of cherry pie filling and some lemons. A decent malty base in the background. Like eating a cherry pie rather than freshly picked cherries. Perfect dessert beer.

12 oz bottle at Toncatcher’s house, shared with Padrefan, Fordest and a few others. Provided by Padrefan I believe. Pours a pink color with no head. The aroma is lightly funky with berries and cherries. The taste is similar to the nose; cherries and perhaps an occasional raspberry. The finish is short and dry. The palate is light and crisp. Overall: A good drink, but I think that the guys at founders really ought to visit the New Glarus team for a few tips on fruit beers.

Bottle: Poured a bright pink color ale with a large pink bubbly head with minimal retention and some lacing. Aroma of medium sour cherries with some discernable malt. Taste is also dominated by sour cherries though malt bill is present but somewhat neutral. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Well done with good balanced and not cloying in any way.

[Bottle] shared by STLWill. Pours a clear pinkish peach color with an effervescent white head. Aroma is slight, with some cherries and not a whole lot else. Flavor is sweet/tart cherry, and is light and sugary.

Bottle sample from STLWill (Thanks!) Pour was white zinfandel pink, a little carbonation with a sugary sweet aroma. Flavor was plenty of sweet cherry, but not too much more. If you like sweet beers, this one is for you.
