| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 5, 2009 Bright red-orange pour with a white head. Sweet aroma of cherries. Tastes pretty good, doesn’t have that weird artificial fruit and malt mix flavor. Strong flavor of cherries with a sweet finish. A really solid fruit beer. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2009 Sampled from a 12-oz bottle received via trade with JPDIPSO. Pours a semi-clear pinkish colored brew with a thin off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of distinct cherry pie filling, some light wheat and golden grain malt, a touch of flowery hops and some berries. Taste is semi-sweet, some carbonation with a flavor of cherry filling, golden grain and bready malts, and some light yeast. Finish is semi-sweet with a short lived cherry and wheat aftertaste. Was a little better than I expected, without the in-yer-face type of fruit beer. Slipstream (778), USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 5, 2009 Cute label and pour. Bright red color that looks like strawberry soda pop. Not much aroma here for a fruit brew; it is light, but pleasant. The flavor is lightly sour with some cherry and sweet malt. Surprisingly light bodied for a Founders release. This is a nice warm weather brew, but is not exceptional. beerbill (1973), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a reddish gold with a moderate pink head that faded to a ring after the first sip and left a very thin white film on the glass. The aroma is malt with some faint cherry notes. As mild as the cherry is in the aroma, it comes through quite prominently in the flavor, which is dripping with bright, sweet cherries. There is some malt present also and a bit of hops bitterness at the finish. Very easy to drink. Enjoyable. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 4, 2009 4/24/2009: Founder’s Cerise has a faint cherry aroma with toasted malt. I am actually very underwhelmed by the aroma as I was definitely expecting more cherry or something. The flavor is quite good though and has a nice sweet/tart blend and is very reminiscent of cherry pie. However, there is just a splash of artificial cherry cough syrup flavor in the finish - maybe it’s more like cherry hard candy but seems out of place either way. This reddish-colorded beer is slightly thin on the palate which adds to the disappointment.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 4, 2009 Pinkish reddish tinged amber, little head. Aroma was sweet cherry and some odd dusty notes. Flavor had cherry, but this was clearly a beer first, with the fruit playing a supporting role. Unfortunately, the cherry did not in my opinion play nicely with what struck me as an almost earthy hop finish. Not bad, but it didn’t float my boat.
