| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2009 12 oz bottle compliments of the Binny’s singles rack (Orland Park, IL). Pours a ruby red with bits of coppery red, medium bright white head that dies to a small layer, laces a bit, light haze. Aromas are some nice natural cherry, a bit tart, with underlying sweetness and some light carmel malts. Inviting, nothing overdone. Initial has a decent body, pushing some nice tart cherry. Carmel and toffe malts definitely step in, with a mild hop bitterness in the finish, aided and smoothed over by the tart cherry. Founders does fruit beers well, and this beer, although no NG Belgian Red, is formidible. Cheers! hophead75 (1964), Boonton, New Jersey, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 2, 2009 12oz bottle. A cloudy pinkish pour with a quickly disapating pink head. Almost no lace. The aroma consisted of real cherries and a bit of wheat. The flavor had a moderate amount of cherries, some cereal grains, and wheat. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had light carbonation. Overall, I thought the cherry flavor could have been a little bigger. A decent fruit beer, but I was hoping for more. swoopjones (1920), Buffalo, New York, USA

Fruity and nice aromas. Fruit cacophony in the nose. Medium bodied and initially good, then the overly sweet/tart cherry note rears its ugly head. Thick and too much one dimensional. Faint malt bill. Finishes tart and zesty. ucusty (1913), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Amber pour with pinkish hues. Fizzy off white head and drippy lace. Cherry and spice on the nose. Syrupy texture with notes of cherry, grains and spice. Some bugs would really take this beer to the next level. RCL (1492), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Pinkish hue to the amber color. Aroma is amber ale with hints of sweet cherry. Quite sweet with a tart edge; the cherry is quite pronounced. Avoids being "cough-syrupy" with the balance of acidity and sweetness, but it’s really not my cup of tea.
