Taste is surprisingly well-done given the somewhat boring nose. Musty cherry and vanilla bean with nice carbonation and a background malt that only occasionally shows itself. Well done fruit beer, though not a world-beater and pretty straightforward. Thanks, Tim. madvike (326), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 20, 2009 Tap at Founders back in Feb ’09 - Pour an amber red with no head at all. There’s barely any smell at all, but the flavor is all cherries. There’s a bit of fizzy carbonation, and it feels real thin on the mouth. Reminds me a bit of the cherries in the New Glarus Belgian Red, but without the complexity and balance.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 15, 2009 Poured from a bottle. Similar to appearance to a rose wine, except for the pink head. Aroma of cherries, almonds, and wheat. Flavor was more balanced of cherries, almonds, wheat and light sweetness to round out the beer. Overall, if another bottle came my way again I would drink it. bp (457), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Served on tap at Founders Brewing Company. Appearance is a brilliant maraschino cherry red, looks very similar to a jar of cherries. Creamy cherry flavors all the way. A high quality real cherry flavor too. Very nice creamy mouth with a touch of effervesces.
