Just the right amount of hops on the tongue to let you know your not drinking wine here. This is a very good fruit beer. Definitely a repurchase. sigma23 (236), , Maine, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Cerise pours a brilliant rose color with a delicate white head. Small champagne like carbonation races from the bottom of the glass. The aroma is intoxicating, big ripe tart cherries complimented by a faint wisp of malt. Deceptively crisp and light, at 6.5% this bad boy will undoubtedly precipitate some interesting evenings. An initial blast of sweetness is rounded out by a rich enveloping tartness. Refreshingly sour, seductively sweet, this beer is a marvel. Free from the cloying sweetness and medicinal harshness that is too often indicative of this style, this fine fruit beer truly raises the bar. Davetopay (36), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jun 25, 2009 LOVE IT. Pours a bright ruby with pinkish head and it GLOWS. Be ready to have a second bottle in waiting as you will end up gulping this down. The malts come across to me as a high grade amber. Lots of toasty nutty, slightly caramelized...like a pie crust? The cherries are amazingly multidimensional. The Belgians could learn something from these guys. You get sweet, sour, tart and hovering essence of fresh fruit in every sip. The very first thing that came to mind when trying this was Comstock brand cherry pie filling in a can from the grocery store. The mouth fell is just right. Not to heavy and thick, but also not thin or brittle. It finishes nicely with a hint of graham cracker leaving you wanting more. A summer time pleaser if ever there was one. polomagnifico (535), Saginaw, Michigan, USA

Bright red amber hue with an average pink head that mostly diminished and left no lace. Flavor is sweet, tart, and sour. Palate is medium bodied and lively. Very good beer and as close to New Glarus Belgian Red as I’ve come across. One of my favorite fruit beers so far. Great. padrefan98 (788), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA

One of my favorites of the night. Sweet crisp dark cherries. Sweetness was good. I would love it more if it was just a bit more sour, but I am a sour head. This was really good!
