Commercial Description:
Founders most complex, most innovative, most feared and yet most revered ale produced. Massive in complexity the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alpha’s used to create this monster. More IBU’s than any brewery has documented, more than you would believe and dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties. Dangerously drinkable and deliciously evil. We dare you to dance with the Devil. 112 IBUs

Not much aroma, probably would be better with warming. For a tripple IPA it was suprisingly easy to drink. These type of beers are over the top. Like a substitute for Jim Beam or Jack! That being said. I am a hophead so I liked it but would onlt drink it once in awhile. Smooth, bitter, and syrupy. Recomended if you if you are a hardcore hophead.

Piney aroma like a Christmas tree. Filmy head which dissolved into a small head in the middle of my pint glass. Powerful rich flavor. There is no hiding that this is high ABV. But they have done a great job in blending the alcohol and flavor.

Pours an amber color with a thin off-white ring which leaves a few rainy streaks of lacing. Aroma is intense hops - spruce, pineapple and some subdued malts. Taste is rather thick with lots of pineapple and piney hops, and light caramel malts. Very well balanced and smooth for being 12 abv. A very solid IIPA.

12oz bottle. Scents of orange peel, and sweet pine. Murky, cloudy, burnt orange hue, with light lacing. Looks like an IPA with my name written all over it. In other words, beautiful. This beer is filled with flavor from start to finish, and it lingers on and on. Bitter hops and rich, gooey maltiness sits on your tounge even after it hits your belly, leaving you craving for more. I cant believe this beer is 12%abv, the alcohol is completely hidden... ...until you stand up. Whoa!!!

A: This one has the color of an amber ale. A wonderful red kind of murky color. It has lots of bubbles racing to the top, and leaves some lacing as I consumed it. S: Hops anyone? This baby is kicking out the smell of fragrant citrus and pine with a nice sweet touch. T: Hop Heads rejoice, this one has kick. This beer is on the verge of being a barley wine. It has a wonderful hop kick which is married to a wonderful sweetness that hides just below the hops. It finishes with the sting of the alcohol and at 13% ABV it’s for good reason. M: Thick and syrupy. This baby goes down like honey. This would be the ultimate winter IPA.

12 oz bottle from the Four Firkins. Orangish/brown pour, foamy white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy, very malty. Flavor and finish are both big malty and sweet with a touch of bitter.

This stuff is real thick. Pours a viscous red brown with lots of haze and a thin white head. Caramel malt aroma with lots of grain. Thick floral and pine hops. Sweet nutty malt flavor. Quickly finishes with tons of hops. Very heavy but good.

Appearance: Hazy deep copper color with a thin off white head. Smell: Very good you can smell the bitter hops right away. Grapefruit and floral hops with lots of malt and some honey. Taste: Sweet and bitter at the same time. The first sip brings quite a bit of warming. Lots of sweet caramel malt and hop flavor. Mouthfeel/drinkability: Has a great aftertaste. The bitter hops stick to the tongue quite a long time. Light carbonation and a medium body.
