( 12oz bottle) Pours a cloudy pale yellow, nice thick oily/bubbly head, with excellent lacing. Nose of pineapple, mango, vanilla, sweet hops, and everything a DIPA should be. Taste is sweet, bitter, but maybe slightly unbalanced towards the bitter. Some grapefruit oils, pineapple, and tropical fruits. Really an exceptional DIPA. Oily body, perfect weight, and barely a bitter linger. This one is fantastic.

Hazy yellowish orange color with a finger or two of foamy white head and some white lacing. Light carbonation, Grapefruit, rind, pine, tangerine, grass, hints of biscuit & candied pineapple. Assertive bitterness, but it’s not harsh.Quite drinkable.

Appears a very light golden with a red/orangish tint. Carbonation is very active though head retention is not great. Started out quite fluffy and white and has died down to a crown. Smell is of citrus hops, grapefruit is most up front with a pine resin and malty sweetness in the back. Taste is similar to smell with perhaps pine taking more of a place. Tasty and above average for sure, but not in the league of say a Hopslam or a Pliny. Mouth is thick for an IPA, kind of a syrupy feeling, which is different and intriguing. Overall another winner from founders but I would probably go somewhere else for my DIPA fix first.

On tap at Cole’s. Golden, with a thick, sticky head. Mild but fresh aroma of pine and citrus hops. Huge pine in the flavour, almost to the point that a stronger malt backbone is required to add a little balance. Finish is lingering pine and a nice bitterness.

[2416-20090802] Tap. Citrus grapefruit juice hops aroma has mild sweat characteristics. Clear, light orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head and some lacing. Tasty citrus grapefruit flavour has a lot of juicy hops. Medium body is very bitter. Great bitter hops balance.

12oz. bottle. Full-on hoppy and citric aroma, green and fresh, full of grapefruit and pine with a mild degree of honeyish, very lightly toasty and sweet malts, some barely detectable alcohol emerging as it warms. Lightly hazy medium golden color with a very fine, subsiding head. Flavor is very hoppy indeed, but not overwhelmingly so, with more citrus fruit and light touches of honeyish, caramel sweetness, including pineapple, grapefruit, spice and flowers, drying out substantially by the finish, which shows a brief hint of peppery alcohol late. Resinous, smooth, oily, warming palate, low to moderate amount of carbonation, body is quite substantial as befits the style. Pretty tasty. Hop jones satiated.

Draft at Coles in Buffalo. Pours unclear orange with an off white head. Nice hoppy aroma with floral, citric, and piny notes, as well as a solid sweetness. The flavor has sweet resiny hops, pine, citrus fruits and fresh floral notes. Huge hop bomb. Very nice.

Bottle courtesy of Miketd via Crig, cheers Mike and cheers Craig for couriering this beer back. Consumed 16-08-09 Pours orangy amber with some haze a white bubble head sits atop. Wonderful aroma of pine and also some grapefruit along with a nice sweet honeyness. taste is gorgeously silky honey and hops big bitterness but its balanced out well by a wonderful sweet honey laden backbone. Great stuff, truly lovely. Cheers Mike A8 A4 F8 P4 Ov16 4.0
