Pours a golden orange-like colour with a large, creamy white head. Smells of hops, citrus, and pine. Flavour is very hoppy with pine and citrus accents. Adrian says there are some grassy notes so I’ll take his word for it. Moderate carbonation. Reminiscent of Bells Hopslam but not as good.

Bottle. Bottled: 02/09/09. Pours a hazy straw color with a skim of an antique white head. Spicy aroma that features plenty of grapefruits, juicy oranges and their rinds, pine needles, alcohol, pepper, vanilla, and some caramel. Full-bodied, smooth, and just a touch syrupy. Flavor starts with a bit of caramel and vanilla and quickly progresses to loads of sweet oranges and then bitter grapefruits. A very drying, peppery finish. Some warming alcohol is present throughout. Excellent!

On draft at Sugar Maple. Pours a light copper with abundant white head. Aroma is strong grapefruit, floral, and some citrus notes. Flavor is lots of sticky hops and resin and finishes fairly bitter. Medium body. Although very hop forward, it is pretty refreshing.

12 oz bottle. Lightly hazed yellow gold with a big white head. Big sweet nose, orange and tangerine. Excellent webby lacing. Perfumey hop flavor, mostly citrus over biscuit, sweet. Comes off oddly balanced for what amounts to a hop bomb. Not really to my liking, but tough to find fault.

Pours a very hazy amber with just a bit of head. Very thick ’n greasy mouthfeel; rolls right over your tongue nicely. Not much citrus in this one, but the IPA bitterness is there at the end to make ya smak yer tongue on the roof of yer mouth. Definitely will buy again.

Nice thick hoppy head. Pale yellow-orangish color. Very nice pine and citrus hop aroma. Overall, one of my favorite doubles.
