Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a small white head, great lacing. Aroma is strong with hops and citrus. Grapefruit really stands out, but I can detect hints of other citrus fruit. I also detected hints of grass clippings and pine. The taste is strong with hops, but is sweetened by the grapefruit. This beer is very well balanced with a nice crisp bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a striking very hazy light straw yellow. Minimal head that clears pretty quick. Nose is a heavy, sharp blast of citrus. Tons of sharp, tart grapefruit and some chalky, bittersweet tropical fruit. Very aggressive and sharp on the nose. Flavor follows right behind the nose- sharp crisp bitterness starts off the flavor and never fades. Plenty of up-front citrus notes in the hop profile- plenty of C-hop grapefruit with a mix of other sharp citric notes. Some earthy slickness, some spicy black pepper notes as the hops and booze blend. Only hints of any malt body is some lightly toasted sweetness that stays in the background. Palate is super clean, with a sharp, dry finish. Mild bitterness lingers. Carries the 9.4% abv very well.

Pours a fairly cloudy orange-yellow color with a thin white film head. Aroma has a lot of pine bitterness with just as much grapefruit citrus notes hanging around to hit the nose from the opening of the bottle. Flavor begins with a great pine bitterness and quickly moves into a citrus middle with a semi-pronounced tangy mango ripeness toward the end. Carbonation is very fine and makes the flavors tend to "pop" in your mouth. I have had a hand full better IIPAs before but this is definitely one I would not shy away from if offered. My only knock on it is the pricing for a single bottle or sixer of this Founders offering.

Great floral aroma. Grapefruit. Bitterness. Instead hops. Strong alcohol presence. I’ve heard this compared to BrooDoo, but I would compare it to HopSlam. Very nice and intense IPA.

Bottle from Dave...thanks man! Inviting nose of tropical fruits ... citrus, lemon, "green". Appearance makes me a little nervous of its shelf life... low carbonation, little head. Flavor is very green and grassy, moderately bitter, lingering. "Light" body but very sharp hop bite - the perfect combo. Doesn’t feel any of the 9.4% ... well done there. This is very good, but a tad one dimensional...I don’t have the palate to pull out hop varieties, but it seems pretty straight forward in its schedule. Overall, I could go to this anytime...Very solid, highly enjoyable. Thanks Dave...

bottle, from Sam’s, Great aroma, alot going on, apricot/peach, grass, lemon/grapefruit, honey. Clean orangy gold color, ok head & lacing. Bitter sweet flavor, More citric than sweet. Medium body, oily creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Tasty IIPA, Aroma was best part, could sniff it all day, just kept getting all the mentioned scents the whole time, lucious
