Very citrus-y in both aroma and flavor, very much reminded me of grapefruit.

Tap at McMenamins. Pale golden beer with a thick white head. Aroma is loaded with bright, resiny citrusy hops. Clean and bright and fresh. Very light pale maltiness with almost no sweetness to speak of. Loads of fresh lemon/orange citrus hops. Long resiny finish. Like sucking on pine cones… really lovely IIPA.

330 mL into snifter. Pours a translucent gold with a modest white head. Nice clingy lacing. Huge aroma of ruby red grapefruit, citrus hops, floral hops, some pine. Taste is insane grapefruit like straight up fresh grapefruit juice with some spicy hops, sweet caramel, with some lemon peel and orange blossom honey. Some spicy warming alcohol and white pepper in the finish. Very good.

Poured a hazy gold with a small almost white head. Hop forward aroma with sweet grapefruit. Like candied fruit slices. Some grass and pine as well. Light bready malt underneath. The flavor is less sweet than I thought from the aroma. Malty with a mild toastiness to it. Dry finish with a growing bitterness. Medium bodied and warming.

Poured hazy gold with fluffy off white head. Big aroma of floral hops. Lots of tangy hop flavor. Some citrus with lots of alcohol in the finish. Dry finish.

12 oz bottle in trade from Tarheels86. Thanks for this one on your first trade. Pinky finger white head that settles quickly and clings to the side of the glass. Bright and hazy amber in color. It has a sharp, but not overpowering IPA hoppy nose. The grapefruit scent is obvious, with hints of lemon. And did I mention the hops? The first taste is sharp and clear. It has a crisp smack. Dry. Still plenty of grapefruit. It becomes malty and tart as it warms in the glass. It’s not gonna warm much as I’m not letting it sit around long. It has a bitterness in the afters that first grabs the top of the back of my throat. Sticky there. It then moves back into the tongue. Fun movement on the palate for this one. Seriously bitter when not drinking.

Served in a tulip from a 12 oz bottle. This beer poured a nice golden pale color with a very nice white head. There is a considerable amount of lacing and it smells of citrus, pine and malt. The taste is a mirror image of the smell. The carbonation is medium for the style and very enjoyable. Another high class brew from Founders.

Bottle - Pours a hazy, light orange with a small, frothy head that dissapates quickly. Smells of bread dough, malt, and oranges. Taste is malty and bready right off the bat, and then the hops take over and sit on the back of the tongue. There’s a bit of lingering burn, but not too much. Medium bodied with pleasant carbonation. If this one had a better nose, I’d like it even more. As it stands, a fine, fine beer.
