30-OCT-2009, botle @home. Rating #250. Sort of an anniversary... Off course I wanted a DIPA to celebrate. Lovely bitter aroma with pine and citrus. Very fruity taste with pineapples, and lots of sweetness and fruit. And then the bitterness and the loooong aftertaste. Some malt just presents itself to balance the hops. Not su much a DIPA as a very strong, very bitter IPA. Any way, lovely beer, Happy anniversary:-)

12oz Bottle from Ølbutik. Hazy golden to light amber, tiny coarse pale head. Aroma has marzipan, mellow flowery and grapefruity hops, sweet sugary malts, faint nuttiness. Flavor is resin, little gooseberry, grapefruit liqueur, warming alcohol, papery finish with red grapefruit bitterness. Pretty thick sugary palate. Yet another US hop bomb showing clear travel fatique.

OH MY! This is a wonderful beer. Suits all my desires for a brew. Really starting to think Founders may be my favorite brewer. Shame is, this stuff is so hard to find......sadness.
