Noticeably citrusy in aroma, like a pungent graprefruit. Tangy and hoppy to the tongue that gives way to fruity notes, esp apricot-like finish. Medium body and evenly balanced throughout. Love the kick on top and this is a clear new favorite for me, a rival to Bells Hopslam for my affections.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 25, 2009 A hazy golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of hop bitters, a lot of fruits like citrus and orange. The taste is dry bitter of hops, fruity with notes of alcohol in the back. The aftertaste is dry and bitter with a little sweet. This is better than the Centennial IPA (an amazingly underrated IPA) but only slightly. This is still a wonderful compliment. A bit reedy thin on the taste, but still amazing, typical, nose, and this beer hits well and accurately. jredmond (1057), New Jersey, USA

Taste is bitter hop, but really well balanced with great flavor. patrickfannon (373), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bottle. 12 oz. Split with jredmond. Pours hazy/cloudy hay golden with a fine, off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, vanilla, grapefruit, caramel, toffee, barley, yeast, bread, and hints of banana. Medium bodied with a crisp, tangy mouthfeel and a little bite in the finish. Extraordinary Imperial IPA. 5000 (2600), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bottle:   Citrusy sweet on the nose, some rind, barnish or wet hops.   Pale orange, slight haze, large frothy white head.   Bright and alcoholic, big, decent malt base but seems a little young and green.   Its on the malty side, not as hoppy as one might expect.   Minor astringency.   Fairly good stuff.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Bottle Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a thin white head which leaves quickly. Leaves spotty lacing rings. Aroma is orange citrus with malt undertones. I get pine and caramel. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is excellent. Sharply bitter leading up to a good swift hoppy ending. Has a medium body, with an oily texture. Has a good strong finish. The aftertaste is a dousy real good and lingering. This is real good, I love it. rickgordon (3321), Göteborg, Sweden
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Bottled. 3 Små Rum. Deep golden colour with low foam. Tea, almond paste and honey in aroma. The tea probably from Warrior or Columbus hops. Really malty backbone, and the hops stand back slightly. Almonds, yet with a juicy mouthfeel but the honey is there. Not the cleanest 2IPA. The bitterness is pretty subtle for the style. Residual sugars on a perfect level. Might have been a semi-old bottle.
