bonk0076 (41), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Nov 18, 2009 Pours a deep golden color with a moderate white head. Aroma consists of pine, citrus and hops. Flavor is dominated by hops early, yet with a bit of citrus towards the end. Finishes strong, but doesn’t leave the lingering aftertast. ilherps (226), Carbondale, Illinois, USA Nov 17, 2009 This beer pours a clear yellowish with a fizzy white foam. The aroma is intense. Citrus, creamsicle, pine, citrus, mango, citrus, and a little bit of locker room sneak through. Intensely citrus and fresh, fresh hops, which is where that locker room hint comes from, very thick and resiny. The flavor is quite hoppy, focused on citrus. I really enjoy this beer, a lot. If you like nothing but hops, you will too. Sammy (3971), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 17, 2009 From Bruisin’ Ales. Pours dark golden, with significant white head. Hoppy aroma, tad above average mouthfeel. Very drinkable tasty, though significant IBU, still some balance. Hop lead citrus lemon mint. markwise (1175), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Nov 17, 2009 Big thanks to jdubfl for sharing this one. Pours gold with a white head. Nose is so herbal, hoppy, and citrus and pine that it is simply flooring. Flavor is similar, but uber fresh! I swear I can taste hop stems, seeds, and leaves. Absolutely unbelievable beer that leaves a great taste in my mouth and packs an unbelievable hop wallop. phishpond417 (1914), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Nov 13, 2009 Yes I love IPA’s. Was this a really amazing one...no not really. In fact I found it a bit off kilter. Decent orangeish copper colour with a large fluffy white head. Aroma was decently hopped but a little stale in some parts. Overall the taste was fairly peaceful and satisfying but someting old about it. wavers1 (129), novato, California, USA Nov 11, 2009 bottle courtesy of mreusch. nice crisp golden pour with medium head that fades fast. nice sweet wet hop aroma and taste. solid offering from a solid brewer. nathanvbs (3), Indiana, USA does not count Nov 10, 2009 another founders classic. fresh hopped ale with sweet bouquet. very impressive yinzerbeernut (47), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 10, 2009 Lighter amber color with a white head, decent carbonation, and some lacing. Very interesting and unique nose and if my youth serves me correctly, it is scented with floral rhubarb notes. On mouth it starts crisp then bursts with flavors of citrus and hops similar to bubble gum with a liquid center.
